Chapter 5 - Chapter 6: So Close, Is He Going To...

"A face full of frustration, thoughts full of dirty ideas, looks like I'd better lock my door tonight."

Tessa had just taken a step towards the living room when Faye's words behind her startled her so much that her left foot tripped over her right, making her stumble forward. Fortunately, she quickly grabbed onto the shoe cabinet beside her to avoid falling.

She turned around, angry and embarrassed, and shouted at Faye from the depths of her soul, "What sort of person do you think I am?!"

What sort of person could it be, a perverted woman!

After answering her own question silently, her expression fell, looking guilty, like a fugitive who had been on the run for three years suddenly facing a cop.

"Oh?" Faye clearly didn't believe her. He casually turned on the light, and the living room's illumination fell on him, his face handsome and as exquisite as a carved jade.

Tessa's expression was one of wronged grievance, comparable to the injustice suffered by Dou E, worse than snow in June: "Faye, where's the basic trust between people? You're exhausting me..."

She was originally planning to argue and educate him a bit more, but her voice suddenly caught in her throat as Faye leaned in close to her without warning.

He was very near, his warm breath brushing her cheek, their breaths mingling intimately.

That handsome face magnified right before her eyes, and Tessa instinctively leaned back, but there was the shoe cabinet behind her, and her spine touched it, leaving no room to retreat.

She only felt her face heat up, her voice trembling gently, "What... what are you doing?"

Being so close, was he going to kiss her?

The thought bewitched her, making her suddenly close her eyes.

She felt a bit nervous, a bit expectant, her heart pounding like thunder, her body not daring to move, her face blushing up to her ears, a color as if dyed in blood.

"Bang... thump..." She heard a slight noise, instinctively opened her eyes, and saw Faye taking out shoes, changing them while looking at her.

His expression remained cool and indifferent, but the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned.

From her forty-five-degree angle, it was even more wicked than a seductive smile.

In an instant, all the romantic feelings turned into countless black lines, and Tessa silently scolded Faye in her heart, just for taking shoes, did he have to make it look so alluring?

Such a devil, even a casual move was so alluring.

Seeing her face flushed with embarrassment, Faye raised an eyebrow lightly, "Just taking shoes, what did you think..."

"Didn't think anything!" The words had barely finished when she found herself pushed against the wall.

Faye's breath once again sprayed onto her face, "You didn't think I was about to kiss you, did you."

Finally, having practiced once, Tessa no longer fell under the spell, calmly pushing away the tempting male allure, "No!"

She felt that as a normal woman, it was very typical to have some strange associations when a handsome man's face was so close to hers.

"I'm not interested in you," she clenched her fists, lifting her head in a proud little stance.

Faye's lips slightly curled, "Not interested? On our wedding night, your nightdress was so seductive, and you bent over deliberately several times while talking to me. That night your lingerie was black lace. On the second night, you intentionally spilled water on my pants and then touched me all over. As for the third day, which was last night, you..."

"Ahhhhh!! Stop talking, stop talking, don't say another word!!!" Tessa exploded, standing on tiptoe to cover Faye's mouth.

He actually knew she was trying to seduce him, he not responding and not biting the hook was one thing, but him remembering it all was another, and for him to actually say it out loud?

It's too much, really too much.
