In the sky, Richard saw Long Mei'er almost turning into a small sun, roaring towards him.
Without hesitation, he wrapped himself in a layer of gray energy, turned and flew south, trying to widen the distance.
But a few seconds later, he slowed down because he realized it was pointless.
If he went all out, his speed and Long Mei'er's speed would be relatively close, which could keep some distance between them. But continuing like this, the battle would turn into a war of attrition, merely delaying the confrontation time and not changing the outcome.
