I shook my head lightly as the sun pierces through my eyelid as it forces light into my eyes. I tried to pull my hand over to my face to rub my eyes but I couldn't. My hands were pulled back and a loud clang sound was heard. Is this what I think it is?
I looked up to face the large mirror. I haven't seen you in a week or so, mirror. I looked at myself in horror but covered it up with a huge smile. I choked out some laughter to cover up the panic on my face. I pulled my arms but I can't. My ankle was chained too. Ahh, what a flashback.
Whip!
I did not expect that! I shut my eyes and threw myself into a fit of laughter.
Whip!
I choked on my own laughter and started to cough uncontrollably.
Whip!
My cough died down slowly and smile as maniacally as I could towards the mirror.
The door creeks open and a man, escorted by two other men in black walked in slowly. "What are you doing?" The man asked. He's in a black suit, blond hair, and has a smile that no one will ever doubt. Is he here to help me?
The person behind me stopped and stepped towards the man, "sir," he saluted. He only looked at the person with the whip and looked back at me with a huge grin, "Hello! You must be the new person! I didn't know they still torture patients here, it's what I hate to see the most," he said, his voice lowering down in grimace as his eyes turned towards the person. He quickly kept his whip away and hung his head down.
"I heard you talked to, something that no one can see, yeah?" He spoke as his voice turns cheery again. "Say, what is this person?"
"A Human, why can't you see that? She's human!" I yelled and spat at his face, a low growl accompanies my anger. He calmly took his handkerchief out and wiped his face and turned back to me with a smile, "I'll give you another chance, what is this person?"
"I told you! She's human! She's been with me for a long while now!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Slap!
My saliva slowly drips down from my mouth and I gave no effort into covering it up. "Don't test my patience here, little guy," he warned lowly, "what is she?"
I didn't say anything to him, he wouldn't believe me anyway. I will never tell anyone that she's a spirit and get myself and her in trouble. I glared at him. My breath coming out harshly.
He sucked in a deep breath and turned around, "madness! madness! everyone are psychopaths!" He yelled, giving up on getting me to spill any sort of information. On his way out, he pulled one of his guards down and whispered something into his ears. When he stood back straight, he gave the man a nod and came over. I watch as he came closer and whispered something to one of the men at the side and left with the man.
After he left, I thought I would get whipped again but I was brought down from the frame. Two men pulled me up and dragged me back into my room. My feet running across the floor and I could feel the heat creating and burning the top of my feet.
Million of words ran through my mind, questions after questions coming at me and flashing right before my very eyes. Who is that man? Does he know me? Why did he know about me and spirits or was he just guessing? Why was he here if he was never here before after a long time? Was the report sent about me just say I was talking to air? Why did he care about me talking to air?
I tried pushing them out as we almost reached the room I usually stay in. Expecting a turn, I shut my eyes to await the sharp turn but my feet were dragged straight. I turned to my right to watch my room slowly moved back or was it me who was moving forward? My head followed the motion as I see the door of the room slowly move farther and farther into the distance to the point where it was so small I could barely see it.
Further down the hallway and I was pulled up from the floor and was thrown onto a hard bed. It is softer than the one I previously had but still very stiff and hard. "Hey Max, you'll be having a roommate from now on," the guy on my left snickered. Did he say Max? Was it the same Max that I know of? I look to my side to check if my new 'roommate' is the same person I'm thinking of.
The door creaked as it shuts, leaving the room in a peaceful silence. "Max? Is that really you?" I asked cautiously. He growled and pounced on me. "Careful Arran, this room is supervised, they watch our every step. So, never let your guard down," he whispered and growled. I looked at him terrified. It really felt as if a real wolf had pounced on me. I started to slowly laugh and it gets gradually louder as I try to sit up.
He growled louder indicating a warning and pushed me down, "stop."
My laugh stops abruptly and shuts my eyes and stuck my tongue out to act dead. I could hear Max's growl backing off as his aura leaves the top of my body. I tried moving, earning a loud growl from Max and I fell back, I guess I should try to catch some sleep. Every little twitch I had, I earn a growl from Max as if he's watching me. Is he telling me to stop because they're also watching me?
I have no idea how long I've been laying down, acting dead so Max wouldn't attack me as any warning or whatever he's playing at. The thought of having cameras in the room, watching my every step and our behavior towards each other is slowly killing me. It's just dawned on me that I won't be able to even breathe normally. Everything I do normally, I won't be able to do it now because they would see that I'm not really crazy and Rhea would be in trouble and I wouldn't want that at all.
