Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that this is my first ever fanfic. I do not own the walking dead or any other character besides my OC. I struggle a lot with grammar and writing so I do use AI for spelling checks, grammar, and other things but the core storytelling is on me which even then might not be the best. I wanted to make this fanfic feel as realistic as possbible using real events that happened in the TWD show. There is no TWD comic mentions, all of this fanfic is based on the show. The reason I made this OC a son of immigrants was because these were some of the events that were happening during these times and I wanted to make something unique and cool for people to enjoy. I have seen many fanfics about TWD but many of them are based on a system or they make the character almost impossible to kill and somehow manages to save every good character.
