She didn't need further explanation. She nodded and said into the phone, "Understood, Master Leon. I will carry out your instructions. Is there anything else you would like me to do?"

I paused briefly, considering my next move, then said, "Start buying shares in prominent news channels. And make sure no one connected to Richard's company escapes exposure. What I've done will attract a lot of attention, so redirect it—at least make the public focus on Richard and the people involved with him or behind him, this will buy me some time."

I then looked toward the city in the distance, where smoke continued to rise into the sky, and spoke calmly, "Also, make sure the government is pressured—indirectly—so they don't act against me. If they still insist, use the evidence on my computer. It contains everything… all the shady things they've done."

She paused for a few seconds, processing everything, before speaking again. "Understood, Master Leon… but may I ask—what are you planning to do after this?"

I let out a quiet sigh before answering, "I… don't know. I may be unavailable for a day or two, so make sure everything stays under control during that time...."

I thought for a moment then replied,"I'll be going to Valewood Lake for a while."

She nodded slightly and said, "Understood, Master Leon. Do you need anything else?"

I replied calmly, "No. Just manage things there. If any caretaker or maid wants to leave, let them go. The same applies to anyone in the office."

Without waiting for another word, I ended the call.

I looked up at the sky, taking a slow breath. My voice dropped to a whisper as I said, "Finally… I've avenged you, Julia."

Tears began to form in my eyes as silence surrounded me.

Soon the sound of police sirens echoed in the distance, growing closer. I didn't hesitate—I bent my knees and launched myself into the sky. Using Moonwalk, I kicked the air repeatedly and moved rapidly toward Valewood Lake.

After continuing my journey for about an hour or two, I soon reached Valewood Lake. I slowly descended and landed near the lakeside house. Taking a moment, I slowly walked towards Julia's grave which was placed near it.

I slowly sat beside her grave, staring at it in silence. My voice broke slightly as I whispered, "I've avenged you, Julia… but I don't feel better. I just feel empty inside. What do I do now?"

I paused for a moment, then spoke again. "I'm sorry… this is all my fault. If I hadn't let my guard down against that snake, you might still be alive."

I looked up at the sky, tears falling freely again as my voice broke. "And I know I promised you… but it's not easy for me to make a new family," I whispered.

Time passed, though I couldn't tell how much. I stayed there, talking to her grave for hours, while tears never stopped falling from my eyes.

Without realizing it, night had fallen again. Exhausted from everything, I fell asleep without realising besides her grave.

Morning arrived quietly, accompanied by the sound of birds chirping around me. It slowly woke me up. I raised my head and looked at her grave again—my eyes were red, swollen from crying all night.

Out of nowhere, the system's voice rang through my head.

[--ding--]

[--Looks like the host has woken up. The host shouldn't have Ignored my warnings.--]

This caught my attention, and I asked the system in anger, "What do you mean I shouldn't have ignored your warnings? Are you saying I should have let them all die there?"

[--no host you didn't get what I am saying--]

My eyes narrowed sharply. "Then explain yourself," I said in a low, demanding tone.

[-- Host the reason why you lose mrs Julia is not because you are unable to kill that snake--]

Hearing this, memories of her death and the snake biting her flashed through my mind. Snapping back to reality, I asked the system, "What do you mean it's not my fault? After all, I let her die because I let my guard down against that giant infected snake."

[--No host even if you are able to kill the snake mrs Julia might have still died--]

That shocked me. I immediately asked the system, "What do you mean by that?"

[--Host… you did not lose her because of your incompetence. You lost her because you failed to follow the way fate in this world is meant to unfold--]

This piqued my attention even more, and I asked the system, "What does fate have to do with this?"

[-- Host… think of it like this. There is a mansion where the main character is meant to go and kill an evil villain. But once inside, they discover evidence against the organization involved. After gathering it, they kill the villain and escape the villa before it self-destructs, then use the proof to destroy the organization behind it --]

It confused me, so I asked the system, "Yeah, I get it… but what does it have to do with fate?"

[--Because, Host, this is what fate demands. This is how the world's fate functions. If the main character had killed the villain before entering the villa, do you think the story would continue? Would the organization ever be revealed? Would fate permit that outcome?--]

Before I could say anything the system continued.

[--On top of that, Host… you are not from this world. That is why fate has been more cruel to you.

This is the Resident Evil world, and fate here operates differently. It requires those involved to explore, investigate, solve puzzles, and uncover hidden truths before the conclusion. Not to simply storm in and destroy everything.

This is how fate functions here. That is why the main characters have survived and succeeded so far, even without powers—because fate was aligned with them.--]

I trembled uncontrollably as I asked the system, my voice breaking, "If that's the case… then what's the point of my powers? Should I have asked God to be free from fate?"

[--No, Host… you misunderstand. Your powers are not useless here. What I am saying is that you should not simply rush in and end everything with force. Instead, you must act like a Resident Evil protagonist—explore, uncover evidence, and then eliminate the boss.--]

I didn't register anything else the system said. My legs gave out beneath me, and I fell to the ground, trembling as I struggled to stand.

I stared at the ground, tears in my eyes, and asked in a broken voice, "Is it my fault that she died because I didn't take your warning seriously, system?"

[--No, Host. At the time you landed on the island, I only got a warning from fate. I didn't understand its true meaning until after Mrs. Julia died there.--]

I forced myself up onto my knees, looked at the sky, and muttered with a weak voice, "Don't try to console me, system."

[--"No, Host. I am just stating a fact."--]

I said nothing and stood there like a statue. After a while, my phone rang. I looked at the screen—it was Emma calling.

I let out a tired sigh and answered the phone. In a broken voice, I asked, "What happened, Emma? Didn't I tell you not to disturb me?"

Emma's voice came through the phone in panic. "Master Leon… it's bad. The government has taken extreme measures. The president has ordered your arrest—and if you resist, they will execute you and retrieve your body for research. A Lieutenant General named Alexander Ross is leading the army toward you."

She swallowed hard. "They're coming… and their plan is—"

Her voice shook as she continued, "If you don't surrender, they will bombard the area with missiles. They know you won't go all out near Julia's grave… and they are planning to exploit that weakness of yours."

Silence fell on both sides. Rage surged once again inside me. My eyes burned as flames and magma churned within. My hands clenched into fists, shaking with uncontrollable fury, and I asked in a cold, ruthless voice, "How much time will it take for them to arrive here?"

She fell silent for a moment before replying, "They will take seven minutes, Master Leon. In seven minutes, they will reach there. Should I try to pressure the president using the documents before they arrive?"

I didn't waste a second. "No need for this. I will do it myself, you just come here to guard the grave of her," I replied immediately.

My hand began transforming into magma as I clenched my fist, still holding the phone. The device cracked under the heat, split in two, and melted in my grip. It dropped to the ground, hissing as it burned away while releasing smoke and burning the ground with itself.

The call disconnected. I didn't waste a single second. And used Shave and Moonwalk continuously, I pushed my speed to the limit, heading to intercept them halfway.

After traveling a few miles at high speed, I finally saw them in the distance. Five armed military helicopters were advancing, along with three trucks filled with soldiers in full combat gear. At the front, an army jeep led the convoy, with the Lieutenant General sitting in the front seat.

My hand started to turn into magma but before I could move, Julia's face suddenly flashed in my mind. My movement halted instantly, my hand returned to normal. Lost in thought, I asked the system, "System, will this also affect fate?"

[--ding--]

[--Don't worry, Host. You are free to act as you wish for now. Fate will not always oppose your direct actions—it will only oppose it in certain situations or when required. If you want, I can inform you beforehand.--]

I thought for a moment and asked the system, "What do you mean by 'required'?"

[--Host, it means events that must occur—fixed points in fate that cannot be stopped. The Raccoon City incident is one such event. It is the beginning of everything. Even if you somehow manage to alter it or save everyone… it may result in the collapse of the world.--]

It scared me a little. Before I could say anything, the Lieutenant General and his military forces had already spotted me. The jeep came to a halt, and the trucks behind it stopped as well. Soldiers quickly jumped out while one of them shouted, "Go! Go! Go!"

Within seconds, the soldiers formed a tight formation and aimed their guns at me, ready to fire at any moment.

The General slowly stepped out of the jeep and walked forward. He picked up a speaker and said in an arrogant tone, "Surrender yourself, Mr. Kennedy. You are hereby arrested for assaulting private property and killing innocent people. Your assets will be seized by the state. If you resist, we will shoot you on the spot. These are direct orders from the President himself."

I snapped back from my shock and stared at them. Rage burned within me again as I spoke in a cold, ruthless voice, "Looks like I'll have to get my hands a little dirtier."

The Lieutenant General immediately understood this, looked at his soldiers, and yelled, "Fire!"

I didn't move and stood still. Soon, dozens of bullets hit me, but the parts of my body where they struck turned into magma and instantly recover. The cycle repeated continuously.

The General wasn't completely surprised—he had expected resistance—but he still looked shaken. He quickly ordered the helicopters, "Bring them up. Fire missiles. Do not give him time to breathe or regenerate."

Soon, dozens of missiles were fired at me from the helicopters. It looked like the military General had mistaken my Logia ability for regeneration, believing I would eventually wear down if I kept getting hit. Who was going to tell him I could sustain this for hours—possibly even an entire day—with my current physique? I think.
