Leon reacted instantly.

Without wasting another second, he immediately pulled out his phone and dialed Emma's number.

The call connected almost immediately.

"Emma."

Leon's voice became cold and serious.

"Lock down the entire area."

The sounds of explosions and distant screams continued echoing throughout the city behind him.

"Seal every road around the blast zones."

His eyes remained fixed on the burning buildings ahead.

"It looks like a zombie-level bioweapon outbreak has started in New York."

Emma immediately understood the seriousness of the situation.

"I'll mobilize everyone immediately."

Leon continued walking forward while speaking.

"And make sure nobody escapes the quarantine zone without inspection."

A short silence followed.

"We don't know how far the infection has already spread."

"Understood, Mr. Leon."

Leon immediately ended the call afterward.

Then he turned toward the surrounding officers.

"Listen carefully!"

His voice echoed throughout the ruined street.

"Inform every nearby unit to evacuate civilians and seal the entire area around the explosions immediately!"

The officers instantly nodded.

"Yes, sir!"

Without wasting another second, Leon activated his abilities.

FWOOOOSH!!

Magma exploded beneath his feet as Leon suddenly launched himself upward into the sky.

Then—

BOOOOM!!

Using Geppo-like air steps, Leon rapidly began moving through the air itself at terrifying speed.

Each step created explosive shockwaves beneath his feet.

Within seconds, his figure became almost invisible to the naked eye.

The only thing left behind—

Was a trail of burning heat moving across the night sky.

Within seconds, Leon crossed several streets at terrifying speed before finally arriving near the center of the new incident area.

The moment he landed on top of a damaged vehicle, his eyes narrowed sharply.

Chaos.

Pure chaos.

People were desperately running through the streets while terrified screams echoed throughout the city.

Several zombies aggressively chased civilians through the burning roads.

Some were already covered in blood.

Others moved unnaturally, dragging broken limbs while growling hungrily.

Leon's expression instantly darkened.

"…Fuck."

His cold gaze scanned the city.

"Umbrella again?"

The thought alone irritated him.

"Or some other suicidal corporation?"

Another explosion echoed somewhere nearby.

BOOOOM!!

Leon clenched his fist slightly.

"Are they seriously insane enough to release a zombie outbreak in the middle of New York?"

He looked toward the burning streets while civilians desperately fled in panic.

"At night too…"

Leon let out a tired sigh.

"Yeah."

His eyes slowly narrowed.

"Humanity really keeps making terrible decisions."

Suddenly, one terrified civilian stumbled onto the ground while a zombie rapidly lunged toward him.

"HELP!!"

Without hesitation—

BOOOOM!!

Leon instantly vanished from where he stood.

The next second, he appeared directly in front of the civilian.

The zombie barely had time to react before Leon's right arm instantly transformed into burning magma.

FWOOOOSH!!

Then—

Leon thrust his fist forward.

BOOOOM!!

The zombie's entire head exploded instantly.

Burning flesh, blood, and shattered bone splattered across the surrounding street.

The body collapsed lifelessly onto the ground.

The terrified civilian stared at Leon in complete shock.

Leon calmly looked back at him.

"Run."

His magma-covered fist slowly cooled down.

"I'll handle these things."

The terrified civilian quickly nodded while trembling uncontrollably.

"T-Thank you, Mr. Leon," he said shakily.

His eyes were filled with admiration and relief.

"You really are a superhero…"

Leon didn't reply.

He simply turned away calmly while the man quickly ran for his life.

Then—

BOOOOM!!

Leon instantly vanished once again.

The next second, he appeared directly in front of another zombie.

FWOOOOSH!!

His magma-covered fist slammed forward mercilessly.

BOOOOM!!

The creature's head exploded instantly.

Without stopping, Leon continued moving through the city at terrifying speed.

One zombie after another fell before him.

Some had their heads blown apart.

Others were burned alive by magma.

Several zombies never even realized what killed them.

The burning streets slowly became quieter.

After several minutes of nonstop fighting, Leon finally stopped moving.

He calmly looked around the surrounding streets.

Silence.

The zombies nearby had already been completely wiped out.

Farther away, police vehicles had already sealed the entire area around the outbreak.

Sirens echoed endlessly throughout the city while armed officers established a quarantine zone nearly a kilometer wide.

No one was allowed in.

No one was allowed out.

Leon quietly observed the scene.

Over the years, many organizations had secretly released zombies and bioweapons against him before.

But this…

This was different.

This was the first large-scale outbreak happening openly inside a major city.

Leon slowly clenched his fist.

"…Damn idiots."

His cold eyes scanned the dark streets carefully, searching for any remaining zombies or survivors.

Then suddenly—

"HELP!!"

A terrified girl's scream echoed from somewhere nearby.

Leon's eyes instantly sharpened.

Without wasting even a second—

BOOOOM!!

Using his shave technique once again, Leon instantly disappeared toward the source of the scream.

Within moments, Leon arrived near the source of the scream at terrifying speed.

BOOOOM!!

The air behind him exploded as he landed on top of a damaged vehicle nearby.

The moment he arrived, his eyes immediately locked onto the scene before him.

A young woman was desperately fighting against several zombies surrounding her from all directions.

BANG!!

Without hesitation, she raised her handgun and fired directly into a zombie's skull.

The creature's head exploded instantly before its corpse collapsed onto the ground.

Leon narrowed his eyes slightly while observing her.

She had sharp features.

A slim body.

Short hair.

And a strong jawline that gave her a cold Eastern European appearance.

By the looks of it, she was likely Russian.

Despite wearing ordinary civilian clothes, her movements were far too calm and trained for a normal person.

Then—

Click.

The girl froze slightly.

Out of bullets.

The surrounding zombies immediately lunged toward her aggressively.

Without hesitation—

BOOOOOM!!

Leon instantly launched himself forward.

The concrete beneath his feet shattered apart as he shot through the air like a missile.

His right fist instantly transformed into burning magma.

FWOOOOOSH!!

The magma rapidly expanded into a gigantic molten fist before Leon thrust it directly toward the zombie horde.

"Great Eruption."

BOOOOOOOOM!!!

A massive volcanic blast erupted forward violently.

Before the zombies could even react—

More than half of them were instantly engulfed by molten magma.

The creatures didn't even have time to scream before their bodies completely melted apart.

Burning flesh and lava exploded throughout the street.

The remaining zombies fell to the ground due to the magma chunks burning them.

Leon landed heavily on the ground between the girl and the monsters.

CRAAACK!!

The road beneath his feet shattered instantly from the impact.

The girl stared at him in complete shock.

Meanwhile, Leon calmly looked at the burning magma piles where the zombies once stood.

Then he sighed softly.

"…Looks like I missed a few."

His tired gaze slowly shifted toward the remaining creatures.

"I honestly thought I cleared the whole area already."

The young woman continued staring at Leon with visible shock in her eyes.

For a few moments, she seemed unable to process what she had just witnessed.

Then she finally spoke.

"You…"

Her breathing was still uneven from fear and exhaustion.

"You're fighting them alone?"

Her eyes shifted toward the burning magma piles left behind by Leon's attack.

"The person on the news with superpowers…"

Realization slowly appeared on her face.

"You're Leon."

Leon gave a small tired sigh.

"Unfortunately, yeah."

The girl quickly looked around nervously before asking again,

"What is happening here?"

Her voice trembled slightly.

"Why are there zombies in New York?"

She swallowed hard.

"Do you know anything about this?"

Leon quietly observed her for a few seconds before asking calmly,

"You're not a normal civilian, are you?"

The girl froze slightly.

Leon's eyes shifted toward the handgun still in her hands.

"You handled that weapon pretty well."

His sharp gaze remained fixed on her.

"And most civilians don't stay calm while shooting zombies."

The girl hesitated briefly before lowering the gun slightly.

"I trained for it," she replied honestly.

"I'm currently attending a police training course."

Leon raised an eyebrow slightly.

"That explains the aim."

The girl nodded.

"I was heading back to my apartment when all this suddenly happened."

Her expression darkened slightly while remembering the chaos.

"People started screaming… then those things attacked everyone."

She tightened her grip on the handgun.

"I tried running away, but I found a dead police officer nearby."

A faint guilty expression crossed her face.

"So I took his gun and started fighting back."

Leon remained silent for a moment before nodding slightly.

"…Smart move."

Then he glanced toward the dark streets ahead.

"Most people freeze."

A faint dry smirk appeared briefly on his face.

"You at least had the decency to shoot the monsters instead of recording them."

The young woman nodded slightly after hearing Leon's words.

"Thanks," she replied softly.

Leon glanced toward her before casually asking,

"So, what's your name?"

He lightly rolled his shoulder while cooling magma slowly faded from his arm.

"You already know mine."

A faint tired smile appeared on his face.

"Leon S. Kennedy."

Then he looked directly at her.

"What about you?"

The girl remained silent for a brief moment before finally answering,

"Jill."

Leon raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Jill Valentine."

The moment Leon heard that name, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"I'm currently a trainee police officer in New York," she continued.

"After completing my training, I was planning to return home to Raccoon City and officially join the police force there."

For the first time in a while—

Leon looked genuinely surprised.

Jill Valentine.

One of the key people connected to the future outbreaks and one of the main protagonist.

He never expected to meet her here of all places.

A faint smirk unknowingly appeared on his face.

"…Small world."

Jill looked confused for a moment.

"What?"

Leon shook his head lightly.

"Nothing."

Then his expression returned to normal.

"If you're out of bullets, you should leave this area to me."

Leon glanced toward the burning streets nearby.

"Just focus on surviving."

But Jill immediately shook her head firmly.

"No."

Her eyes met Leon's directly without hesitation.

"I want to save as many people as possible."

Leon quietly stared at her for a moment.

Then Jill continued seriously,

"You go deal with the zombies."

She tightened her grip around the empty handgun anyway.

"I'll rescue the civilians."

A faint tired chuckle escaped Leon afterward.

"…Yeah."

His eyes slowly shifted toward the infected streets.

"You really are from Raccoon City."

Suddenly, the zombies that had fallen earlier beneath the magma chunks slowly began rising again.

Some of them had half their bodies melted away.

Others dragged themselves forward with missing limbs while growling endlessly.

Yet despite their horrifying condition—

They still continued crawling toward Leon and Jill.

Leon narrowed his eyes slightly after seeing that.

"…These things seriously don't know when to quit."

Then he glanced toward Jill.

"You sure you can keep going?"

Jill immediately nodded firmly.

"Don't worry about me."

Her sharp gaze locked onto the approaching zombies.

"I can do this all night."

Leon stared at her for a brief moment before a faint smirk appeared on his face.

"Heh."

"Woman, you're going to terrify your future husband someday."

Jill instantly twitched after hearing that.

"What?!"

She looked completely caught off guard.

"What kind of nonsense are you even saying right now?!"

Leon casually shrugged.

"Just trying to lighten the mood."

Jill's eye twitched again.

For a brief moment, she genuinely looked ready to punch him across the face.

But before she could say anything else—

The zombies suddenly charged toward them again.

Leon's expression instantly became serious.

"Yeah, no."

BOOOOOM!!

The concrete beneath his feet shattered violently as Leon instantly launched himself forward at overwhelming speed.

His right arm transformed into burning magma once again.

FWOOOOOSH!!

Molten lava rapidly gathered around his fist before Leon thrust it directly toward the zombie horde.

"Great Eruption."

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A gigantic volcanic wave exploded forward violently.

Before the zombies could even react—

Their bodies were instantly swallowed whole by burning magma.

Several creatures completely exploded apart.

Others were reduced to ash instantly.

The overwhelming eruption illuminated the entire street in burning red light.

Jill froze behind Leon while staring at the destruction unfolding before her eyes.

Even though she had already witnessed Leon's powers earlier—

Seeing them up close still felt unreal.

The sheer destructive force behind every attack completely shocked her.

Meanwhile, Leon calmly stood within the burning heat while magma slowly dripped from his arm.

A few zombies still remained scattered throughout the street.

Since they were no longer grouped together, Leon didn't bother using large magma attacks anymore.

BOOOOM!!

The ground beneath his feet cracked apart as Leon instantly disappeared from sight through explosive speed.

Within moments, he began rapidly moving between the remaining zombies one by one.

Every time he appeared—

Another zombie died.

Some had their heads blown apart by magma-covered punches.

Others were instantly burned alive before they could even react.

The infected never even had time to scream.

Within less than a minute, the remaining zombies were completely eliminated.

Silence slowly returned to the street once again.

Leon then looked back toward Jill.

She was still standing there silently, visibly shocked after witnessing his overwhelming abilities repeatedly.

Leon sighed softly.

"Hey."

His voice pulled Jill back to reality.

"Snap out of it."

He glanced toward the dark streets nearby.

"We don't have time to waste."

Then his expression became serious again.

"Go look for survivors."

Leon slowly looked toward the burning city ahead.

"I'll deal with any zombies still left around here."

A faint tired sigh escaped him afterward.

" Pray that there's none left."

Jill immediately resumed searching the surrounding streets for survivors.

Meanwhile, Leon silently moved through the infected zone alone, hunting down any remaining zombies.

The night slowly passed beneath the endless sounds of sirens, distant screams, and gunfire.

Occasionally, Leon found infected creatures hiding inside dark alleyways, collapsed buildings, and abandoned stores.

Every zombie he encountered died instantly.

Some were burned alive by magma.

Others were obliterated before they could even react.

Leon showed no emotion while killing them.

To him—

They were already dead the moment the outbreak started.

Meanwhile, Jill rescued numerous civilians trapped throughout the quarantine zone.

After more than two exhausting hours, both of them finally regrouped near one of the outer police barricades.

Leon glanced toward Jill afterward.

Her exhausted appearance immediately caught his attention.

"You're slowing down."

Jill looked slightly annoyed.

"I said I could handle it."

Then she sighed tiredly.

"But I was already exhausted from police training before this happened."

Leon silently stared at her for a moment before replying calmly,

"…At least you didn't quit."

Then he looked back toward the burning city.

Smoke still rose endlessly into the night sky.

"Let's move."

His voice remained cold and calm.

"There's nothing left for us here."

Jill silently nodded afterward, and together both of them finally left the quarantine zone behind.

Throughout the night, countless survivors had expressed their gratitude toward both Leon and Jill for saving them during the outbreak.

News reporters, media channels, and social platforms quickly began spreading footage of the incident everywhere across New York.

Because of her actions during the outbreak, Jill quickly gained attention from the public.

Meanwhile, Leon's popularity increased even further than before due to his overwhelming strength and influence over several media networks.

As both of them walked through the empty streets, Jill suddenly looked toward Leon.

"…Hey."

Leon glanced at her briefly.

"What?"

Jill hesitated for a moment before speaking again.

"My apartment was inside the quarantine zone."

Her expression became slightly awkward afterward.

"So…"

"Where exactly am I supposed to stay now?"

Leon remained silent for a few seconds before calmly replying,

"Come with me."

Jill blinked slightly in surprise.

Leon continued walking without even looking at her.

"After tonight's incident, your police training will probably be suspended for several days anyway."

His tone remained cold and casual.

"You can stay at my place for now."

Jill looked at him quietly for a moment before asking cautiously,

"…Won't that cause problems for you?"

Leon finally glanced at her again.

Then he calmly replied,

"No. "

Jill remained silent for a few moments after hearing Leon's offer.

Then, after thinking briefly, she finally nodded.

"…Alright."

A small sigh escaped her afterward.

"Thanks."

Then she suddenly looked toward him again.

"But where exactly do you live?"

Leon calmly replied,

"A few miles from here."

Jill immediately looked caught off guard.

"A few miles away?"

She frowned slightly afterward.

"It's already past two in the morning."

Her tired eyes shifted toward the dark streets around them.

"How exactly are we supposed to get there?"

Then she narrowed her eyes suspiciously at him.

"Don't tell me we're taking a car."

Leon remained completely calm.

"Look at the sky."

Jill blinked slightly before instinctively looking upward.

For a brief moment—

Nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

WHOOOOOOOSH!!

Powerful winds began howling throughout the street.

Jill's eyes widened slightly.

A massive military helicopter rapidly descended from the dark night sky.

The aircraft looked heavily armed and far beyond anything civilians could normally access.

Searchlights illuminated the empty streets while the helicopter slowly landed directly in front of them.

BOOOOOM!!

Dust and debris scattered everywhere from the pressure.

Jill stared at the helicopter silently in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Leon calmly looked toward her and said,

"…Our ride's here."
