The following days were dominated by a relentless, gray drizzle. It wasn't a heavy storm, just a constant, damp mist that refused to let the sun break through.
Cooped up inside by the dreary weather, Euphoria began to feel incredibly restless. Luce, conversely, seemed to thrive in the dampness; he was unusually active, heading out into the rain frequently and shedding his typical lethargy.
Wayne had busied himself by constructing a sturdy shed outside. It served as a dry haven for their cooking and grilling, ensuring that even the heaviest downpour wouldn't dampen their meals.
When the skies finally cleared a week later, Euphoria was eager to stretch her legs. Wayne had intended to join her, but Rose arrived at their doorstep first, full of energy, so Euphoria sent Wayne off to finish his chores.
"Euphoria, there's a stunning spot in the tribe I have to show you," Rose chirped. It was clear she had also been suffering from cabin fever.
