Chapter 27 - Chapter 26:The Devouring of Judgment

BOOM!

The third strike of the Crimson Tribulation shattered the golden umbrella. Xuan Feng coughed up Blood, his eyes wide with shock.

"System! Why didn't the umbrella work?!"

[Ding! Error. The Tribulation is being fueled by an Unknown Narrative Void. Current laws are being overwritten.]

"Unknown?!" Feng screamed, drawing a heavy black halberd. "I have the Primordial Battle God technique! I have—"

"You have a noisy toy, cousin."

The voice was quiet, but it cut through the roar of the red thunder like a knife through silk. Xuan Feng turned his head to see Xuan Ye standing at the edge of the altar. The trash scholar was standing in the middle of a lightning field that should have turned him to ash instantly.

"Ye? Get out of here! You'll be vaporized!" Feng shouted, actually concerned. Despite his arrogance, he still viewed Xuan Ye as a family member who needed protection.

"I'm not the one in danger, Feng," Xuan Ye said.

Xuan Ye looked up at the sky. The red clouds surged, sensing the primary target. A massive bolt of Crimson Lightning the Judicator's Spear descended. It was a strike capable of erasing a great ascension realm, a concentration of Absolute Infinity logic.

Xuan Ye didn't run. He opened his arms.

[Domain: THE VOID SCRIPT — Maximum Output]

[Initiating:Narrative Inversion]

As the red lightning hit Xuan Ye, the world went silent. There was no explosion.

The red electricity didn't erase him it was sucked into his pores. Xuan Ye's Ink-Wash Heart acted as a vacuum, drawing the celestial judgment directly into the Unwritten Library.

Inside his internal world, the chaotic powers of the dead experts were finally met with the Hammer of the Red Lightning. The lightning acted as a forging fire, melting the stolen Laws, the Domains, and the Qi of the masters into a singular, unified structure.

[Incorporating Crimson Tribulation Logic...]

[Dimensional Expansion:Initiated]

Xuan Ye's internal world began to fold in on itself. One dimension, two, ten, a hundred... an uncountably infinite amount of higher narrative levels began to stack. The Library was no longer just a room it was becoming an uncountable infinite numbers of Dimensional worlds inside his body, a space where the distance between Fiction and Reality was controlled by him.

Xuan Feng watched in utter silence, his halberd slipping from his hands. He saw his cousin standing in the center of the red storm, not as a victim, but as the conductor. He saw the red lightning the thing his System called ######### being eaten like common Qi.

"System... what is he?"

[Ding! Analysis... Analysis... ERROR. Target is the ######. System is entering Sleep Mode to avoid detection.]

"What?" Feng whispered.

The red clouds in the sky began to turn grey, then white, then vanished entirely as their energy was completely drained. The sun broke through, shining over the Xuan Estate.

Xuan Ye stood on the altar. His robes were untouched. His eyes were now deep pools of violet and black. He felt the balance within him. The Infinite Dimensional World was stable. He could now house the power of a thousand universes without his physical vessel cracking.

[Ink-Wash Heart:80% Progress]

[Current Realm: Purple Ink Core — Peak Stage (hidden)]

Xuan Ye turned to his cousin. Xuan Feng was shaking, his pride as a system host shattered.

"Your breakthrough is complete, Feng," Xuan Ye said, his voice returning to its soft, unassuming tone. "You have reached the Golden Core. The clan will be very proud."

"You... you just..." Feng stammered.

"I just got lucky," Xuan Ye interrupted, his eyes flashing with a warning that chilled Feng's marrow. The lightning was attracted to my Ghost-Wail curse and grounded itself. You should thank the Princess's protection."

Before Feng could argue, Zhao Ling landed on the altar, her face pale with relief and a new, burning curiosity. She looked at Xuan Ye, then at the sky, then at the dazed Xuan Feng.

"Xuan Ye... you're alive," she breathed, stepping toward him. Without thinking, she reached out and grabbed his hand. Her fingers were trembling. "I thought... I thought the world was ending."

Xuan Ye looked down at her hand, then up at her jade colored eyes. For a moment, the cold logic of the Void Script softened.

"The world is fine, Your Highness," he said gently. "It just needed to be balanced."

Xuan Feng watched them, his mechanical mind-map recalibrating. He realized then that he wasn't the protagonist of this story. He was just a witness to a monster who was rewriting the book from the inside.

"I'll stay quiet," Feng thought, a cold sweat breaking out on his neck. "If the System is afraid of him... then I am just a footnote."

Xuan Ye looked toward the Twin Towers in the distance. With his internal world now reaching the dimensional scale, he could finally see the Strings connecting the Finite World to the higher worlds.

"This is beginning of chaos," Xuan Ye whispered.

The Northern Capital was safe for now, but the worlds above had realized their scanner was broken. And next time, they wouldn't send tribulations. They would send something more profound.
