Kevin had just finished reviewing a report when his phone rang. He glanced at the screen and answered.
"Harris."
"Sir, I apologise for disturbing you," Harris said.
"What is it?" Kevin was a bit worried that his uncle had caused trouble for his butler for him to be calling.
"Mr. Sheldon Goodman has been waiting outside the estate for several hours. Madam Loretta has just returned, and she asked me to contact you for permission before speaking with him."
Kevin's hand paused over the document. For a moment, he said nothing. Then the corner of his lips lifted slightly.
"She asked you to call me?"
"Yes, sir," Harris replied.
Kevin leaned back in his chair, a faint trace of satisfaction appearing in his eyes. It seemed his wife had taken his words seriously.
He had expected her to be curious about Sheldon, perhaps even allow him into the house without thinking much about it. Instead, she had remembered his rules and asked for his permission.
