The gates slowly opened.
Sheldon immediately stepped forward, expecting his driver to follow him inside.
Instead, one of the guards stepped in front of the car.
"Mr. Goodman, you may enter, but your vehicle cannot."
Sheldon's brows furrowed. "What?"
"The boss gave strict instructions. You are not allowed to bring anything into the estate."
Sheldon's expression darkened.
He turned toward the mansion in the distance, then back at the guard.
"Not even my car?"
"I'm sorry, sir. Those are the instructions."
Sheldon clenched his fists. Kevin was deliberately humiliating him.
First, he had been forced to wait outside the estate for hours. Now that he had finally been given permission to see Loretta, Kevin would not even allow him to drive to the main building.
He looked toward the long private road leading to the mansion.
It was at least a twenty-minute walk.
