The applause inside the church gradually faded.
The officiating priest smiled warmly.
"Please follow me to complete the marriage registration."
Kevin said nothing.
He simply took Loretta's hand and followed the priest into the small registration room beside the church.
Several witnesses entered with them, while the remaining guests stayed behind.
The church buzzed with discussion once again.
"What happened? Didn't they say the bride was at death's door?"
"Who knows? All this has been speculation and rumors."
"I don't think so. Look at the Gladstone family. They look shocked as well."
Several minutes later, the doors opened again. Kevin walked out first with Loretta beside him. The marriage register had been signed.
The officiating priest followed behind them with a smile.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds."
The guests clapped politely once more. Outside the church, the photographer was already waiting.
