A few moments later, after quickly fixing her hair,
Missy stepped out into the shop.
And immediately froze.
Daniel and Charlotte stood among the antique displays, looking around in fascination.
Missy blinked.
"You two?"
"Missy!"
Daniel greeted her far too enthusiastically.
Almost offensively enthusiastically.
Missy stared at him.
Since when was Daniel this cheerful toward her?
As far as she remembered, he was usually dismissive, snarky, and acted as though her existence was only mildly tolerable.
Not to mention—
He was an unbearable gossip.
A very talkative one.
Missy approached cautiously.
"What are you doing here?"
Daniel smiled brightly, as if they were old friends who had never exchanged passive-aggressive energy in the office.
"We came to discuss the exhibition venue for Mr. Raven."
Missy frowned.
"Why didn't you contact me first?"
Daniel laughed awkwardly.
"Well… I happened to run into Mr. Raven personally."
