Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – The King’s Warning

The Kingdom of Velmora stood tall and powerful.

At the center of it all sat King Alaric on his throne, his presence alone enough to make anyone bow.

He carried a dangerous and dominant aura that filled the entire room.

News travels fast.

Especially when it concerns the Alpha Prince.

"Beta Ronan," the King called.

Ronan stepped forward and bowed. "Yes, Alpha."

"Where is the prince?"

"He's in his chambers, Alpha," Ronan replied.

King Alaric's expression darkened.

"What is this rumor I'm hearing about him?"

Ronan hesitated slightly. "Alpha… I would suggest you hear it directly from the prince."

There was a brief silence.

Then—

"Bring him to me."

"Yes, Alpha," Ronan answered before leaving immediately.

JAXON POV

I stood on the balcony of my room, staring out at the vast Kingdom of Velmora.

The land stretched endlessly… powerful… untouchable.

But my mind wasn't on the kingdom.

It was on her.

That girl.

Something about her felt… strange.

Yet… I couldn't stop thinking about her.

Her face.

Those eyes.

The way she looked at me.

"Who is she…" I muttered under my breath.

A knock came at the door.

"Come in," I said.

The door opened.

"Prince Jaxon," Beta Ronan said, bowing slightly. "Your father wishes to see you."

I exhaled slowly.

"Is it about what happened in school today?"

"I'm afraid it is," Ronan replied. "Your father is… concerned."

I turned away from the balcony.

"Alright," I said. "I'm coming."

THRONE ROOM

"Father, you called for me."

King Alaric's gaze locked onto him immediately.

"What is this I'm hearing?" the King asked, his voice cold.

"Since when did you start involving yourself with commoners?"

Jaxon remained calm.

"I was only defending someone weak," he said. "Kayla would have killed her if I didn't intervene. That wouldn't be good for the school's reputation."

"You still shouldn't have done it," the King replied sharply.

"I also heard you shouted at Kayla… your future Luna."

Jaxon frowned slightly.

"I didn't shout. I only told her to stop."

"That's not what I heard," the King said.

There was a pause before his voice dropped lower—more serious.

"You must never involve yourself with unknown wolves."

"That girl… could be dangerous."

Jaxon's expression hardened.

"I'm not a child, Father. I can take care of myself."

The King sighed.

"Just be careful," he said. "And try to appease Kayla."

"You haven't found your mate yet. She is to be your future Luna."

Jaxon's eyes darkened.

"That's not for you to decide."

He turned slightly.

"Let's leave that to the Moon Goddess."
