I couldn't stop shaking after what happened.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me the moment I was dropped to the floor.
Nora came chasing after me.
She hugged me tightly as soon as she reached me.
"Are you okay?" she asked, checking my body like she was scared something was broken. "I was really scared for you."
"Thank God Prince Jaxon intervened," she said softly. "I'm so sorry."
I smiled quietly at her but didn't say a word.
I was still shaking.
Nora helped me back to class.
Everyone kept staring at me… pointing fingers… whispering.
I lowered my head even more, trying to hide my fear as much as possible.
Rumours were starting to spread around the school.
Students whispered everywhere.
"Did you see that?"
"Jaxon actually stopped Kayla… like for the first time."
"I'm so surprised."
"Why did he do it?"
"Who's that girl?"
"I don't know… but I heard she's dead. Kayla is going to destroy her."
"I feel pity for her."
JAXON POV
I don't know what made me stop Kayla.
Something in me just couldn't bear seeing that girl struggle.
I still can't get those eyes out of my head.
Perfect… blue… innocent.
She's so beautiful.
I've never seen her in this school before.
I need to know who she is.
KAYLA POV
Jaxon yelled at me because of that girl.
Who does she think she is?
Nobody should get Jaxon's attention except me.
She messed with the wrong person.
I'm going to kill her.
"Girls, find out everything about that girl for me," I ordered.
"I'm going to deal with her myself."
"Dude why did you stop Kayla?" Xavier asked.
"She must be really pissed now," Derek added.
"She won't go easy on that girl," Xavier said.
"Is she one of your girls? Why did you defend her like that? Or do you like her?" Derek teased.
Jaxon clicked his tongue.
"It's actually good… at least it will stop Kayla from being all over me."
He paused for a second.
"But I'm curious… who is she?"
Derek shook his head.
"Whatever, dude. Just know you're not going to see her again."
"I bet Kayla is already planning revenge."
Xavier leaned forward.
"How are you going to save that girl?"
