Chapter 27 - Quiet Anger And Loud Plans

Scene 1: Kriti's Revenge Plan

The morning had just begun.

And already—

Kriti was planning something dangerous.

She sat cross-legged on her bed, whispering to herself,

"This is not over."

Mahi, sitting nearby with her laptop, didn't look up.

"It is over."

Kriti shook her head.

"No. This is called delayed revenge."

Mahi typed calmly.

"You lost."

Kriti pointed at her.

"I adapted."

She stood up suddenly.

"I will show him what early morning suffering feels like."

Mahi paused.

"That sounds like a bad idea."

Kriti smiled.

"Exactly."

Scene 2: The Failed Revenge

Later that day—

Kriti tried her "revenge."

Which mostly involved:

disturbing Ayaan's schedule

moving his files slightly

setting random alarms

Result?

Complete failure.

Ayaan looked at the misplaced file.

Then adjusted it back.

Silently.

He noticed the alarm.

Turned it off.

Then looked at Kriti.

"You're wasting time."

Kriti blinked.

"…You noticed?"

Ayaan:

"It was obvious."

Kriti dropped onto the chair.

"I need a better plan."

Scene 3: Quiet Moment with Mahi

That evening, the house was calm again.

Kriti had disappeared (probably planning "revenge 2.0").

Mahi sat in the living room, reading something on her laptop.

Peaceful.

Silent.

Ayaan walked in.

Stopped.

Looked at her.

"You're always quiet," he said.

Mahi looked up slightly.

Didn't answer immediately.

Scene 4: The Question

Ayaan stepped closer.

"Kriti reacts to everything."

Mahi stayed still.

Then he asked—

"Why don't you?"

No pressure in his voice.

Just a real question.

Scene 5: Mahi's Answer

Mahi closed her laptop slowly.

Thought for a moment.

Then said quietly,

"I do react."

Ayaan looked at her.

"You don't show it."

A small pause.

Then—

Mahi said,

"Yes… I'm angry sometimes."

That surprised him slightly.

Not visibly.

But enough.

She continued,

"But what can I do?"

Silence.

Scene 6: Meaning Behind the Words

Mahi looked down at her hands.

"I think about it… and then I stop."

Ayaan didn't interrupt.

"Not everything needs to be loud," she added softly.

That line stayed.

Longer than expected.

For the first time—

Ayaan didn't respond immediately.

Because this wasn't something to correct.

Or analyze.

It was just…

true.

Scene 7: Kriti Returns

The moment broke instantly.

Kriti walked in dramatically.

"I have a new plan."

Ayaan didn't even look at her.

"No."

Kriti froze.

"You didn't even hear it."

Ayaan:

"I don't need to."

Kriti turned to Mahi.

"See? This is why I react."

Mahi gave a small smile.

"That's your personality."

Kriti nodded proudly.

"Exactly. I'm expressive."

Ayaan added calmly,

"You're noisy."

Kriti gasped.

"That is disrespectful."

Scene 8: Light Ending

Mahi leaned back slightly.

Watching both of them.

One loud.

One controlled.

And somewhere between them—

she existed quietly.

Not weak.

Not silent.

Just choosing when to speak.

Ayaan glanced at her once more.

Then looked away.

But this time—

he understood something new.

Not everyone needs to be loud

to be strong.
