"Oh my god! You're so shit at this Braxton!" We see Arthur, taunting Braxton at some game (think of a game they could play on your own). "Oh you dickhead!" Braxton shoots back at him. Sweating profusely, trying his hardest to win. Milo was sitting on her bed, right next to the couch, thinking to herself: Woof! (will these pieces of shit ever shit the hell up!)
"Hey boys!" MS. Avery comes into the room with some snacks, distracting Arthur enough for Braxton to just barely beat him.
"Yeah, fuck you!" Braxton does a victory dance.
"Do you maybe want some of these that I made?" Braxton and Arthur look over to see some homemade cookies. They both instantly nod their heads and take a cookie. "Wow mom! These are delicious!" Braxton praises his mom once again. Making her have a giant grin on her face. Arthur agrees with him, saying: "Where did you learn to make these?" While gobbling them up.
"O-oh, it's just a recipe my own mother taught me. It's nothing special, really.." Avery tried to belittle her own achievements, but the two of them were not having any of that.
"Whelp, it's really good mom! I wonder if that Melissa girl would want some?" Just as he said her name, she appeared from behind the door.
"What's this about me?" She asked.
"We were wondering if you wanted a cookie," Arthur told her.
She walked over, and stole two of them, but only eating one. "Damn, this is pretty good!" She says halfway through eating the damn thing. Making everyone think that she's going to make herself choke. Even Milo was a little bit worried for her. Only a little bit though don't get it twisted.
"Why'd you pick up another cookie?" Braxton asked her.
"Because, BRAXTON! Look who came back to earth!" Melissa points at a now awake Maria.
Maria is standing right behind Melissa, with an uneasy expression. Her face gives a sort of warm feeling to Braxton for some reason. Arthur on the other hand just looks worried for her. Melissa tries to push her over to everyone else, but she just shakes her head, not saying a single word.
Braxton thinks that the best course of action is to walk up to her. But of course, she just starts to shiver and wince away from his general direction. He gets a little sad from her reaction, but he understands why.
"Well now what do we do with her?" Arthur asks Melissa. "Is she like mute or something?"
"No… the only person that can get something outta her is I think me. To be fair though, the only thing she said was something about her parents" Melissa explained.
Ms. Avery decides to walk up to her and kneel down, saying: "Are you okay sweetie" in a nice and calming voice. She also extends her hand towards her, in which Maria reluctantly takes it with caution. Surprising the three of them who were watching.
"Wow! Your mom's pretty amazing, dude!" Arthur gives her an indirect compliment. She thanks him kindly as she takes Maria, presumably to the kitchen for some food.
"Hey, Maria! Are you perhaps hungry?" Ms. Avery asked with a worried expression plastered onto her face. Maria looked up at her, and gave a shy nod before immediately looking back at her feet. Ms. Avery was getting more and more worried about her own well being.
They make it to the kitchen after some time walking. Maria was feeling pretty uneasy about the hallways in the station. But now that she's sitting down, and ready for some food. She's feeling just a little bit better than before.
She watches as Braxton's mom starts to whip up something just for her. She gets this warm, fuzzy feeling from that, but she doesn't know why.
After a second of waiting, the thing Ms. Avery was making, was finally plated. It was some spaghetti. From the way it looked, Maria's little mouth started to water intensely. She looked up at Ms. Avery and asked with her eyes: This is for me? Braxton's mom just nods and pushes the thing closer to her. She slowly puts her head closer to the plate, and then starts eating it with only her mouth. Ms. Avery was shocked, advising her to maybe use a fork, but she was too busy eating.
Ms. Avery was just happy that Maria could eat something. She doesn't know what happened to her, or what she could possibly have been through.
Once Maria was done with her delicious meal, Ms. Avery asked her: "so, how was it?" with a warm and inviting smile on her face. The only thing Maria did was nod while giving the cutest little smirk on her face. Ms. Avery was dying from how freaking adorable this little girl is. But she also noticed a little bit of distance in her eyes. Especially when looking at Arthur and Braxton for some reason.
"Hey! Mom, is Maria with you?" the three of them, all come back from the living area. Once Maria noticed the two, she immediately went back to having this sort of film over her eye, while still acting a little bit uneasy.
"Yes, she's right here! But maybe we all shouldn't be around her at once. She seems kinda nervous whenever we're all around her" Ms. Avery tells everyone.
"Oh, ok mom!" Braxton leaves the room, just as fast as he came in. He also drags Arthur out with. Melissa gives the two of them a nod before leaving them alone with each other. The place goes quiet as MS. Avery gives a little sigh of relief. She gave Maria a thumbs up before saying: "don't worry about those two, especially Braxton! They both seem to have very big hearts, and they're worried for you. Now, I'm not asking you to become all chummy with them right now. I'm just saying that they're not gonna do anything to you that you don't like, okay?"
Maria looks at her, and returns her thumbs up with her own, slightly softer one. Making Ms. Avery squeal in some sort of cuteness overload.
*SWING!
They both jump a little.
Ms. Avery ran over to where the noise came from, in which it seems to be from the main reception area. She was hoping that someone broke into here.
"Um, hey! Can someone hear us!"
Ms. Avery recognised that voice, it was Drew! She hoped that something terrible wouldn't have happened to any of them. But she has no idea at the moment what could've possibly have taken place. When she made it over there though, she was absolutely horrified at what she saw. To the point of making her throw up in her mouth a little.
"Oh come on! It can't be that bad! Right Drew?" Lukas looked at him with one eye.
