The second trip to Diagon Alley still intrigued Calypso, who looked around with evident curiosity, searching for things she hadn't seen the first time.
Rigel, on the other hand, with Jack on his shoulder, didn't seem very interested in anything there, he was thinking about how to get the Goblins to let him into the Blacks' vault.
This was far more difficult than it appeared, the goblins were bound by magical contracts with the wizards. Letting them manage their wealth might seem foolish, but it involved powerful magic to keep the goblins 'honest'.
They could bend the rules, but they could hardly break them directly, they could increase maintenance fees over time, but they needed to follow market trends, they could enter any wizard's vaults, but they couldn't take anything from there that wasn't rightfully theirs.
Ironically, this contract was more tied to the wizards themselves than to the Ministry, so criminals weren't affected at all by its nature when entering and leaving Gringotts, even Voldemort, if he had a vault, would have had complete access to it, the Goblins couldn't restrict him.
Of course, if they reported him after the wizard entered Gringotts, that would be a different story. In the end, it all depended on how much the Goblins hated the criminal wizard or hated the Ministry.
However, some rules were much more straightforward, Rigel doesn't have access to the main vault because he's only the most likely heir at the moment, that's all.
The vault wasn't his until he became 'an adult' in the eyes of wizards, this could happen in two ways: turning 17 or graduating from Hogwarts, whichever came first.
If simply having Black blood was enough to get in, Lucius would have emptied the vaults long ago using Draco as a means.
That's why Rigel didn't directly ask to enter the Blacks' vault, even if the Goblins wanted to, they couldn't allow it.
Rigel thought about it a lot, even reading the Gringotts regulations, but he couldn't find a clear way to do it.
Age limited him, which left him frustrated.
There should be many good things there, whether books, artifacts, or ingredients, but Rigel could only wait.
Bellatrix's vault, on the other hand, was more complicated. While Bellatrix was alive, the vault would belong to her, but due to her condition, Rigel would have full access to it after reaching adulthood.
In other words, he could empty everything, but the safe would still belong to her, unfortunately, once again, he had no way to access the safe now.
Of course, there was a third option, for various reasons, the ministry could grant him the age of majority, in which case he could not only open either of the two safes, but also perform magic normally and lose track of them.
Unfortunately, this involved tremendous bureaucracy, plus there hadn't been cases like this for a long time, so it would be even more difficult, this type of case wouldn't stay hidden for long, and once it became visible, the ministry couldn't pretend not to see it in order to accept bribes.
So many things could go wrong that it wasn't even worth trying.
In the end, the contents of the safes weren't that important to Rigel, he didn't even know what was in them. It's like the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind.
Finally, when they arrived at Ollivanders' shop, Rigel had already shaken his head and let it go.
They went back into the shop, Ollivander wasn't hiding around as usual, instead, he was snoring with his head on the table, clearly tired.
Rigel and Calypso looked at each other, for a moment unsure what to do.
Calypso, however, seemed to be thinking of something. She took a potion from her bag, one of those she had made for practice these days, and approached Ollivander with an amused smile. She brought the potion close to Ollivander's nose.
Ollivander's eyes widened and he jumped away, sneezing incessantly. Calypso had already closed the potion lid and put it away while she, Rigel, and Jack watched Ollivander recover, still sneezing sporadically, his eyes bloodshot. He looked at Rigel and Calypso with irritation, but he seemed to wake up and quickly realize who his guests were.
He didn't care about that anymore, he jumped up excitedly and ran to the back of the shop, moments later he returned, carrying an exquisitely crafted wooden wand case.
"You arrived just in time! Look! This is my best creation!" Ollivander grinned like a madman, opening the case and offering it to Rigel and Calypso.
They both, Calypso and Rigel, glanced at each other, but Calypso felt a connection without even touching the wand, she didn't hesitate, taking it directly in her hand.
"Since the materials are unknown, I don't know its general properties, you'll have to find out for yourself." Ollivander seemed a little annoyed by this, but a smile soon returned to his face as a salty breeze brushed against it.
Clearly the effect of Calypso's magic flowing through the wand.
A burst of bluish-green sparks escaped the wand for a moment, clearly perfectly in keeping with Calypso.
Calypso sensed that the rebellious magical power within her body had found an outlet, waving her wand, a silvery mist escaped from it, taking on a corporeal form of Rigel in his Merman form.
Ollivander's eyes widened, clearly shocked by the event, but excitement followed soon after. He didn't care about the form of Calypso's Patronus, to be more direct, he didn't care about the Patronus's face. The mere fact that Calypso's Patronus was a magical creature and that Calypso had conjured it without incantation already demonstrated the woman's power.
He felt he was witnessing the birth of a second Dumbledore!
He had to tell Albus this good news!
Of course, Rigel didn't know that Ollivanders was already ready to 'betray' them, but instead, he stared narrowly at the almost corporeal figure of the Patronus, even though his Patronus hadn't reached the level of Diabolus, it was already quite advanced because of it.
Even so, Calypso's Patronus seemed even more corporeal than his! He raised his hand and touched the Patronus, his finger didn't sink in! Clearly, this thing had physicality!
Rigel's lips trembled. Injustice! Fucking injustice!
Even Diabolus could only touch spiritual creatures or those charged with negative energy, at most, it could carry someone while swallowing them, though that assumed the individual wouldn't immediately dissolve into black mist.
Unlike the Patronus, the Diabolus does not physically interact with ordinary matter, only with negative energy and living bodies.
Even a Patronus requires a well-formed corporeal shape to interact with matter, Rigel's Patronus could barely interact with matter without dissipating into mist.
Calypso's current Patronus, however, was completely different, it appeared so solid that Rigel wagered it was even more durable than the real Rigel himself, and that's considering his King's Triton physique.
In the end, he couldn't fly around on Diabolus, but Calypso probably could do that now.
Although imagining her flying in his Merman form... seemed quite funny, he hoped she would still be able to change the form of her Patronus.
