Chapter 118 - Slow Pace (not a chapter)

I know you don't like it when I post 'chapters' like this, but if I include this material within a regular chapter, a lot of people just skip it, so, I prefer to 'speak' in separate, standalone chapters.

I feel I should talk a bit about this arc. As you may have noticed, the first few chapters were a general summary mixed with planning.

This was intentional because, at the start of this story, I glossed over things too quickly and many people got confused, this time, I wanted to take it slow to make everything clear.

Another factor is that the Harry Potter world has a different tone than the adventure world. In the Harry Potter world, Rigel takes things in stride because there is no rush in his main world, unlike the adventure world, where everything is more goal-oriented and dynamic.

These initial chapters represented a necessary slowdown. Although the plot starts to pick up in the upcoming chapters, the pace won't match that of the previous world, there is no rush.

I held a poll on P_treon about this, asking if readers preferred a slower narrative style focused on personal development or a faster one focused on magic. The poll ended with over 75% of the votes favoring a slow pace, so things won't be speeding up anytime soon. That said, while I admit the previous four chapters were mostly about 'laying the groundwork' for Rigel's future actions, the actual development begins with the next chapter.

Even so, don't expect Rigel to go around destroying Horcruxes and defeating Voldemort in the first year.

In any case, thank you for reading, and I hope you have some patience.
