Chapter 1 - The commence

"NO!NO!NOO!" screamed Julika Burton as she held fragile, shattered pieces of a vase in her hands, desperately trying to assemble them, but to no avail. The pieces glowed faintly, barely solid, as though the process of vaporization was applied to them.

Julika still tried to fix the broken vase, but there was an odd force - an invisible force that prevented it from being fully restored. Julika knew about this, yet she still insisted on it. The panic expression on her face remained as strong as it ever was.

"NO!NO! I refuse to give up! I've spent so many years, you're going to be alright, brother, don't worry, your sister will always be here for you!" Julika said hysterically as she was mending the vase with absurd speed, even when it shattered again, she still rebuilt it in less than the blink of an eye.

Even with this kind of rare and iron-strong determination, it appears that the invisible force spares no mercy for her. It kept breaking the vase again and again, as though it had no stamina.

Julika still tried to mend the vase, even though it had been for the past three weeks that she's been here, on a street with no bystanders as the rain poured down relentlessly around her. The rain was kind enough not to spoil this emotional moment for her, as it formed a perfect circle around Julika to spare her from the harsh drop of water and the freezing temperature it produced.

Then the pieces completely turned to sand before they vanished into nothingness. Julika's whispering stopped as she seemed to be unable to form any sound audible.

The muscles she had been contracting on finally relaxed, which should have relieved her, but that couldn't be further from the truth. She felt numb and dulled all over her body as she didn't know what to do - or even what to say to this. All of the efforts she had poured into it were wasted before her eyes; it was a totally reasonable reaction.

She collapsed on the ground and slumped hard against its hard surface as everything around her seemed to become darker to the point where it was devoid of any light.

She was then brought into a room full of fascinating instruments that measured things outside of the scope of human comprehension. All of the instruments had odd appearances and seemed to contain either sand or marble, along with the sound of them travelling inside their own home. Julika raised her face and was met with an interesting-looking figure. The figure was tall and slender, as they wore a long white top hat with books on it that would turn to random pages now and then. They had long white hair with a gaze as tough as a stone. They had a white dress covering their entire body. They looked rather mad and disappointed.

"You have failed again," said the figure coldly.

Julika straightened up and put on a polite and formal demeanor toward the figure - anyone would know that it'd be best not to cross with them.

"Yes," said Julika apologetically.

"How many times do I need you to heed my advice?" they said harshly as they pulled out a pen and waved their hands around to conjure a chair and a table. "This is the sixty-eighth time that you didn't achieve your goal. Do you know how much time and energy I spent on your little project? Lots and lots of it; that I can guarantee!" they yelled aggressively and made Julika sense that she should be more cautious in her words.

"Eisern, however, you can't deny that what I've been doing has contributed greatly to your status," said Julika confidently.

Eisern frowned and pulled open a drawer, flicked through dozens of papers stuffed inside there, and examined one.

"Quite right, you have significantly increased my seeds around the cosmos," said Eisern, acknowledging. "I can't deny that, even though you cost me more than the other disciples, you are the best."

Julika bowed elegantly.

"Of course, master," said Julika honestly.

"But...." said Eisern darkly. "Don't expect to get praised forever. I have allowed you to violate dozens of orders in the one thousand orders of the cosmos. You do know the consequences. I can't be here to defend you anytime you get into trouble. I wouldn't want to experience divine punishment first-hand," said Eisern seriously.

"Of course, master, but you must please understand that if I achieve my goal, even if I have to break some rules, I promise that you will be known as one of the greatest deuses in the entire cosmos," said Julika confidently.

"I hope so," said Eisern. "I've been waiting for thousands of years, and I am still but a simple deus, not even worthy of having a proper title. Now," said Eisern in their serious tone again. "As we are insignificant compared to the higher-ups, we've been able to avoid any undesirable attention from the authorities, but I've noticed recently that they've been stricter on the rules and would even arrest the beings from the physical realm who would try to violate the rules. And so, please, be careful and try to keep a low profile in the physical realm. You know that I can't go in there," said Eisern, concernedly.

"Of course, master," said Julika as she bowed down respectfully as a sign of heeding her master's command.

"Good luck, Julika, may no harm come to you at all," said Eisern hopefully.

The room vanished as Julika was left where she was. She noticed that she was now completely drenched in the freezing water. She looked around and noticed that the world was maybe in the process of resetting itself - you could tell just by the fact that the world had gone dead silent. She stood up and jumped.

There was no sound coming from the jump, but she was flying faster than anything in the world, even travelling past black holes, and wasn't even affected by them. She saw billions of supernovae happening in an instant. Even though no one could tell, she was getting pulled to the center of the world, which is another sign that the world was resetting. Though she still had the force to escape the world, as all worlds were infinite, there were no edges, just space filled with manifestations of all sorts.

Then, as she seemed to be voyaging pointlessly, she had reached enough velocity that it broke the concept of motion and penetrated the layers that separate every world.

She landed in the physical realm and needed to possess a physical manifestation of her own. As she walked on the soft grass, she slowly appeared first from the black top hat, and her face with purple eyes and long, straight brown hair. A scarlet tie neatly placed on her white shirt, covered by a purple tailcoat. Then her purple pants appeared and ended with her stylish black shoes.

"All right," said Julika gleefully as she admired her material form. "Now, where do I need to go?" as she stood on a tall mountain and looked at the city below. "This might take a few decades, but I've got a good feeling about this!" said Julika optimistically.
