Chapter 34 - Targeting the Ogres

Originally, the Centaurs still wanted to build a new residence for the Red Dragon, but Kalon had no intention of staying here for long, and he quite liked this large tent built from animal hides and logs, so he refused the Centaur's kind offer.

The Red Dragon was currently lying in this unique large tent located in the center of the Centaur encampment, and the Centaur maiden Sunia was diligently cleaning the lazy true Dragon's scales with clean fur.

There were also some scales that were difficult to clean in the gaps of the true Dragon's dazzling scales, which was unavoidable even for the magic-attached protective layer on the Dragon Clan's body, because these were not external dust or other stains.

But this job didn't seem like a chore for Sunia, just as most females in the world can't refuse beautiful things that shimmer, the Centaur maiden also couldn't refuse the Red Dragon's scales, which were as beautiful as thin, round gems, as could be seen from the Centaurs songs Sunia occasionally hummed.

Kalon half-closed his eyes comfortably. In his perception, the Centaur Tribe did not simply form a psionic connection with him just by becoming his dependents. Only a few rough threads of mental power were attached to him, including the Centaur Sunia before him.

"It seems I still need to lead these Centaurs to achieve some victories to accelerate their recognition of me," the Red Dragon thought. It just so happened that the Ogre Tribe was now also the Dragon Clan's enemy. Kalon also had the idea of destroying the Ogre Tribe to deter the monsters and other tribes around the Dragon Nest. This was Kalon's heartfelt thought and also the will of the Evil Dragon Blood.

"However, the Ogre Tribe is very powerful. The Ogre's strength combined with the warriors of the entire Ogre Tribe is something I cannot confront head-on right now." Kalon knew that with his Young Dragon's strength, he could not completely overpower the Ogre Tyrant Morgor, who had grown to his peak. After losing his long tail, the Red Dragon's body was actually not as tall as an Ogre.

As for those Young Dragon, they had already run very far, and Kalon was too lazy to spend time looking for these Young Dragon. After all, it was already hundreds of miles from the Centaur's camp to the Dragon Nest.

As long as he made a move, if the Dragon Clan were nearby, they would definitely come and meet him.

Kalon was not a rash character. Since he decided to act, he naturally had to make some plans. He thought for a while, then flapped his wings to tap Sunia, who was carefully wiping his scales, to make her stop. Then he stood up and said to the Centaur, "Let's go, Sunia, come out with me."

The Red Dragon led the Centaur out of the camp, ascended into the sky himself, while the Centaur ran through the dense forest, leading the Dragon Clan to the areas where the Ogre often hunted.

The Centaur Tribe's territory bordered the Ogre Tribe's dominion, while the Ogre's bay radiated north and south, bordering the Dragons Territory and the Centaur territory, somewhat like being sandwiched in between. However, the Ogre Tribe's location was actually to the east, and there was still a vast area to the west that had not been touched by the three.

But as the Centaur Tribe gradually retreated and contracted further south during the long-term conflict between the Ogre and the Centaur, the Ogre Tribe's activity range also gradually expanded.

At this moment, several Ogre in the forest were humiliating two forest trolls. The skin on these two trolls was green, covered with a thin layer of moss, and their appearance was indescribable. But the Ogre's , well, as everyone knows, while true Dragons can be explained by broad aesthetics, Ogre are truly indiscriminate.

Ogre's can not only be equally aroused by all living creatures, even treants, they would very much like to try. They also like to use the corpses of these creatures as food after venting, and the remaining bones are polished into ornaments and weapons, so it can be said that their utilization of prey reaches an extreme level.

The Centaur Sunia quietly appeared before these Ogre. The longbow in her hand was fully drawn with the help of automatically accumulating magic power, and the sharp arrow, carrying a whistling wind, pierced through an Ogre's head. White brain matter stained the arrowhead as it exited the Ogre's back of the head.

The Ogre's still twitching body fell limply, making a popping sound. It was then that the other Ogre noticed the Centaur standing still, and they all drew their bodies, roaring as they lunged at Sunia.

The Centaur did not shoot another arrow from her bow, but stood still, coldly watching these damned Ogre. An extremely obvious whistling sound came from above her head.

A Red Dragon fell from the sky, and its gleaming sharp claws effortlessly pierced through the bodies of these Ogre, then, with force from the claws deep inside their bodies, it tore the Ogre's strong bodies into two, like tearing a thin piece of paper.

Only the last two Ogre, covered in the blood and bodily fluids of their kin, stood in place, at a loss and trembling. The Red Dragon's power was undeniable; the Dragon Clan's cold gaze, like that of an examiner of prey, seemed to be able to lock onto the Ogre's flesh and mind.

Without a strong leader like the Ogre Tyrant Morgor, these Ogre Warriors did not even have the courage to take a step in front of the Red Dragon.

Hmph, Kalon exhaled two sparks from his nose and said, "Take them back to the tribe, I have a use for these two Ogre." After speaking, he soared into the sky.

The Centaur bowed her body to her Lord in response, then stood up, tore a few vines from a nearby tree, casually tied them around the Ogre's necks, and led them back towards the camp like hunting dogs.

Kalon and Sunia returning to the camp with the captured Ogres did not cause any sensation. Ogres often captured and abused Centaur warriors, and Centaur would also often bring back captured Ogre for execution. However, this action undoubtedly still earned Kalon favor among the young Centaurs.

However, the Red Dragon temporarily ignored these matters and had Sunia bring the two Ogres into the tent. He needed to learn some Ogre language from these two Ogres.

But the Ogres had not yet formed a proper civilization, and much of their communication involved actions mixed with shouts, requiring Kalon to focus intently to understand the meaning of their Ogre language.

Sometimes, when the Ogres were cornered and stammered, Kalon would give them two slaps, and the two Ogres would then get an idea and continue chattering, teaching Kalon.

In this way, Kalon stayed in the tent for two full days. The Dragon Clan's innate talent for learning most creatures' languages in the world allowed the Red Dragon to quickly learn a portion of the Ogre language. He only needed enough to get by, not to learn all of the Ogre language.

Then he threw the two Ogres, who were exhausted and spiritless, out of his tent, leaving them to the Centaur. He then had Sunia find the Centaur leader Kari, as Kalon's simple plan required the Centaur's cooperation.

"Lord Kalon." Kari and her mate Trogdor came into the tent together. These days, these Centaur also hoped that the Dragon Clan would immediately lead the Centaur Tribe to counterattack the Ogre, but they were now only the Red Dragon's dependents and needed to obey the Red Dragon's will.

So, upon hearing Kalon's summons, they immediately came, looking at the Red Dragon crouching on the thick fur with hopeful eyes.

The Red Dragon's words did not disappoint them. Kalon gave orders to the Centaur leader, "Go and gather the most elite warriors of the Centaur Tribe, Kari. I will lead you to give those Ogre a painful lesson. Go, bring your sharpest weapons and strongest shields. I will be right here."
