Chapter 35 - insults

The Red Dragon flying at an extremely high altitude seemed to be hidden among the leisurely white clouds, and in the eyes of these Centaur Warriors, the enormous Red Dragon was almost the same size as an eagle.

The Dragon's vision, countless times sharper than an eagle's, allowed Kalon to easily find the trails of Ogres moving in the dense forest, and he adjusted his throat to mimic the sharp cries of eagles and birds on the prairie.

The elite warriors of the Centaur Tribe almost all came out, carrying well-maintained longbows and old, blood-stained, rusty hunting rifles, silently following behind the Centaur leader Kari.

The strongest warrior in the Centaur Tribe held a bronze spear, a powerful inherited weapon capable of easily piercing shields.

Guided by Kalon's eagle cry, these Centaur Warriors quickly dispersed and stealthily surrounded the unaware Ogres not far ahead. Under the Centaur Warriors' encirclement, these solitary or grouped Ogres were killed with almost no chance to resist.

These Centaurs transformed into specters of death in the forest, all-knowing and omnipresent, swiftly eliminating the Ogre Warriors scattered outside on patrol or hunting.

The rather disorganized Ogres did not notice any abnormality in their territory.

Moving forward slowly like this, by evening, the Centaur Tribe's contingent had approached within dozens of miles of the Ogre Tribe.

At Kari's signal, they quietly gnawed on dried meat brought from their tribe to replenish their strength, then began to close their eyes and rest.

Kalon, meanwhile, glided tirelessly high in the sky day and night. The night could not obstruct his vision; he discovered Germot and Blue Dragon Akez trapped in the Ogre Tribe. Carlit was nowhere to be found, taken by these Ogres.

No traces of humans were found in the Ogre camp either, but the human's large ship was still anchored in the natural harbor of the bay.

However, there were only a few crew members on the ship, and a slight doubt arose in Kalon's heart.

The good news was that the Two-Headed Ogre Warlock and the beautiful Giant ogre who looked like a human were probably still recovering from their injuries. Kalon only found Morgor, among the few individuals requiring special attention, bustling about the camp.

This Ogre's stamina was clearly very strong; he tormented several Centaur captives for the entire first half of the night. This gave Kalon a little more confidence in tomorrow's plan.

Meanwhile, William and his group, still waiting in Dragon Nest Canyon, also received news from the Red Dragon via the mage Laksu.

"You mean that Red Dragon actually wants to attack the Ogre camp?" Will Clarence was overjoyed.

He had been waiting there precisely to capture the Ogre and the special Red Dragon mentioned by Aiersu. He had even been thinking of proactively going to capture the Red Dragon if it didn't come soon, so finding out the Red Dragon seemed to be walking into a trap made him incredibly happy.

"That Red Dragon is hovering around the Ogre camp, so it likely intends to attack. However, he is not one of those reckless, and brainless Dragons, so he should have some preparations, and our ships and supplies are still there."

Laksu, the mage, did not have the habit of underestimating his opponents.

For humans, who already had a clear system of civilized language, the Two-Headed Warlock, possessing sufficient intelligence, could naturally learn it with ease.

He stepped forward and said to the others, "Don't worry, Morgor can deal with that Young Dragon. Once he catches that cunning Red Dragon, our transaction will be completed very soon."

William Clarence could understand the Ogre's meaning. He laughed heartily and said, "You don't have to worry about the reputation of our Clarence Family. Your reward will be given to you as promised. Let's go, I can't wait to see my spoils of war."

These people, disregarding the dangers in the forest, entered the night with the captured Young Dragon, because they were stronger than the hidden dangers in the forest.

Dawn arrived quickly, and the Ogre camp was still quiet. The powerful tribe gave these Ogres a great sense of security.

Even the necessary guards were snoring loudly at their posts, making a noise that even a Dragonwould find irritating.

The Red Dragon descended silently from the sky, its sharp claws tearing apart the sleeping Ogreat the camp entrance. Its strong body smashed through the large gate made of thick logs, and behind it, Kari and Trogdor led a small number of Centaur Warriors who swarmed in.

Sharp hunting rifles pierced into the Ogres who were carelessly sprawled on the open ground, sound asleep. The usually powerful Ogre Warriors were now like fragile pheasants waiting to be slaughtered by a Halfling.

At this moment, the Centaur Warriors only wished their hunting rifles were fast knives; the need to stab and then pull out the rifles seemed to waste a lot of time to them, and it wasn't satisfying enough.

Kalon, the dangerous Red Dragon, ascended into the sky. Violent Dragonfire spewed around the camp, specifically burning the wooden houses used by the Ogres for living and storage. Soon, the flames raged fiercely, rising into the air.

The Ogres killed in their sleep didn't even have time to make a sound before their eyes were forever closed, but those scorched by the Dragonfire awoke, screaming as they ran out of their homes, covered in flames, and headed for the nearby sea.

Morgor, the tyrant of the Ogre Tribe, was also awakened. His single eye gleamed with unimaginable fury and murderous intent, and he roared as he rushed towards his weapon. He wanted to chop this Red Dragon and the audacious Centaurs into meat paste, then drink it little by little.

"Go quickly," the Red Dragon, who had been paying attention to the Ogres, gave the command decisively. He knew that his Dragonfire could not cause much harm to Morgor in a short time, and the Ogre was not stupid enough to stand still and wait for him, so he prioritized inflicting casualties on the Ogre's living forces.

But now, to hold back Morgor and give the Centaurs time to retreat, he had no choice but to unleash a breath of Dragonfire. The scorching Dragonfire shot towards the Ogre, but it was easily blocked by the Ogre with his giant axe.

A reddish glow appeared on the Ogre's single horn, and the temperature of the Dragonfire was also isolated.

But this brief moment of delay was enough. Kari and Trogdor had already gathered the Centaurs and retreated into the forest, and Kalon also took to the air.

He ignored the few Centaur Warriors who, caught up in the thrill of killing, had not obeyed his command to retreat in time, letting them be cut to pieces by the enraged Ogre.

Instead, controlling his speed close to the ground, he used the Ogre language he had just learned to loudly insult Morgor: "You vile, lowly, one-eyed bastard, born from a crossbreed of Kobold and Goblin! This is just a small lesson for you. Next time I come, I will crush you like a stinking bug."

"Then I'll shove that urinal on your neck, so ugly that even a Gnoll would vomit at the sight of it, up your ass, so you can taste the same smell that emanates from your own body."

This hateful Red Dragon not only incessantly cursed the already furious Ogre with words but also occasionally took the time to make crude and vulgar insulting gestures with clumsy body language, mimicking the Ogres.

The Ogre Morgor was so enraged that the single eye on his forehead was bloodshot, and terrifying blue veins popped out on his ferocious face. He gasped roughly and yelled at the awakened Ogre Warriors: "You go protect the sleeping Fafna! Don't let these bugs disturb her!"

Then, carrying his giant axe, he strode to follow the Red Dragon, which was flying sometimes high and sometimes low ahead of him. He swore by the ancient Ogre bloodline that even if he had to chase it to the end of this forest today, he would kill that foul-mouthed Red Dragon.

Then he would use its head as his urinal, forever trampled under his feet, so the Red Dragonwould die with unclosed eyes.

Meanwhile, Gemot and Blue Dragon Akzi, who were hanging back in the distance and had been surprised that Kalon hadn't come to rescue them, exchanged glances, and a shared understanding of "I've learned something new" arose in their eyes.
