Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 – Sean Finally Notices Scabbers

Sean had only just stood up from the Slytherin table when Harry and Ron simultaneously blocked the aisle ahead.

The atmosphere instantly became tense again.

Malfoy immediately sneered.

"Move aside, Weasley."

His tone carried obvious hostility.

Ever since the first day of school, Malfoy still held a grudge over Ron mocking his name.

Back when Sean watched the original story in his previous life, he'd thought Malfoy was simply an arrogant brat looking for trouble constantly.

But after actually arriving in this world, Sean gradually realised things weren't entirely that simple.

The conflict between Ron and Malfoy truly started on their very first meeting.

At the time, Malfoy hadn't even spoken to Ron directly. He merely introduced himself proudly to Harry.

But Ron immediately laughed at his name.

Draco Malfoy.

The word Draco came from the Dragon constellation and also carried meanings related to dragons and serpents.

Imagine proudly introducing yourself to someone only for them to instantly burst out laughing because your name sounded dramatic.

Naturally, Malfoy would remember that humiliation.

Especially since "serpent" also implied cunning and darkness in wizarding culture.

That moment had planted the seed of hostility between them.

Now, standing in the Great Hall, Ron's expression looked ugly.

He clearly wanted to move aside immediately.

But with Hermione watching nearby, pride forced him to stand his ground stubbornly.

At that exact moment, several older Gryffindor students approached from the corridor.

Leading them was a tall red-haired boy.

Percy Weasley.

"What's going on here?" Percy asked sharply.

Then his gaze landed on the Slytherins.

"Slytherin again?"

His face instantly became cold.

"What now? Looking for trouble?"

Without even asking further questions, Percy immediately declared:

"I'm deducting ten points from Slytherin for deliberate provocation."

Then he grabbed Ron's shoulder and prepared to leave.

"Wait."

Sean's voice suddenly rang out calmly.

Percy immediately frowned.

"What?"

Sean slowly stepped forward.

"Whose points are you deducting exactly?"

Originally, Sean didn't care much about childish conflicts between first-years.

But Percy was different.

As a prefect, casually abusing authority to target Slytherin openly crossed Sean's line.

Prefects technically possessed point deduction privileges.

But professors later reviewed every deduction carefully.

Sean absolutely would not allow Percy to establish this kind of pressure over Slytherin students.

The moment Sean stood up—

Every Slytherin at the table rose instantly.

Boom.

An invisible pressure suddenly spread through the Great Hall.

Percy's expression changed immediately.

Because the magical fluctuations coming from the Slytherins felt completely different from before.

Sharper.

Heavier.

More dangerous.

Even the surrounding students sensed the tension instantly.

"Wait!"

Hermione hurriedly stepped between both sides in panic.

"Everyone calm down!"

Then she quickly looked toward Sean.

"There's probably a misunderstanding!"

But Ron suddenly snapped coldly:

"Stay out of it, traitor."

Hermione froze.

Her face immediately turned pale.

Then—

A furious voice exploded from the Slytherin side.

"I'll rip your mouth apart, Weasley!"

Pansy Parkinson nearly lunged across the hall directly toward Ron.

Thankfully, Hermione reacted quickly and grabbed her immediately.

"Wait, Pansy!"

Even Hermione herself looked angry now.

Being called a traitor genuinely hurt.

At that exact moment, a cold voice suddenly echoed behind the crowd.

"I believe all of you should already be heading to class."

Professor McGonagall.

The students instantly separated automatically.

Only Sean remained standing calmly where he was.

"Mr Sebastian."

McGonagall's tone carried clear warning.

But Sean ignored it completely.

Step by step, he walked directly toward Ron.

Percy instantly reacted.

"What are you doing?"

He pulled out his wand and pointed it directly at Sean.

"Put your wand away, Percy!" McGonagall snapped immediately.

But Sean had already lifted his eyes calmly toward Percy.

The atmosphere instantly became suffocating.

"If you ever point your wand at me again, Percy…"

Sean's voice remained frighteningly calm.

"I'll make sure you never hold one again."

Percy unconsciously stepped backward.

For several seconds, nobody dared breathe loudly.

Only then did Sean finally stop in front of Ron.

Under countless nervous gazes, Sean suddenly reached forward—

And pulled a fat grey rat directly from Ron's pocket.

Scabbers immediately struggled wildly in Sean's grip.

"Scabbers!"

Ron instantly tried rushing forward.

But Percy grabbed him immediately.

At this point, Percy's expression had completely changed.

Earlier, he'd only viewed Sean as an arrogant first-year.

Now—

He looked at Sean as though facing a dangerous enemy.

Meanwhile, Sean calmly held Scabbers up by the neck.

The rat struggled violently.

Sean's eyes quietly narrowed.

"Ron," he said softly, "if I were you, I'd keep this rat locked inside a cage permanently."

His gaze never left Scabbers.

"And if I saw it again…"

A faint smile slowly appeared.

"I'd kill it."

Scabbers suddenly trembled strangely.

Ron's expression instantly became furious.

"What's wrong with you?!"

But Sean ignored him completely.

He casually tossed Scabbers back toward Ron.

"Take good care of it."

Then Sean turned calmly toward Professor McGonagall.

"Nothing happened here, Professor."

His expression instantly became harmless again.

"We were simply passing by."

Then he smiled lightly.

"As prefect, I naturally wouldn't allow a private fight to occur."

While speaking, Sean deliberately glanced meaningfully toward Pansy.

Pansy immediately lowered her head awkwardly.

Professor McGonagall finally relaxed slightly.

"Very well," she sighed. "Everyone head to class."

"Goodbye, Weasley."

Malfoy smirked smugly before following Sean out of the Great Hall.

Behind them, Ron shouted angrily:

"We'll crush you on the Quidditch pitch! Harry's already Gryffindor's Seeker now!"

Sean's footsteps paused briefly.

But only for a second.

Then he continued walking away calmly.

.....

Inside the Charms classroom, Malfoy finally leaned closer nervously.

"Boss…"

He lowered his voice carefully.

"You looked strange back there."

Malfoy hesitated slightly.

"Was there something wrong with that rat?"
