Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 – Hermione’s Terrifying Talent

Everyone entered the Slytherin common room together and quickly found places to sit.

To Hermione's surprise, nobody showed disgust toward her presence.

After all—

Nobody in Slytherin dared openly oppose Sean anymore.

Still feeling awkward, Hermione hesitantly sat beside Malfoy.

Malfoy's expression immediately became a little stiff.

After all, a Gryffindor sitting beside him in the Slytherin common room still felt incredibly strange.

But remembering Sean's terrifying methods, Malfoy immediately forced a smile.

"Don't worry, Granger." He coughed lightly. "Slytherin students are actually pretty easy to get along with."

Hermione blinked nervously and glanced around.

The surrounding Slytherins all smiled at her politely.

Unfortunately—

Most of them still possessed explosive bird-nest hairstyles from the training room punishment.

Combined with their awkward smiles, the entire scene looked deeply unsettling.

Hermione instantly became even more nervous.

At that moment, Sean walked toward the centre of the common room and casually spoke:

"Today's lesson is simple."

Everyone immediately quieted down.

"Brothers united can cut through metal."

The surrounding students looked confused instantly.

Sean calmly explained:

"It means that when everyone works together properly, impossible obstacles stop being impossible."

His eyes slowly swept across the room.

"So speed up your progress and clear the first level as quickly as possible."

Then he casually added:

"Oh, right. We have a new participant today."

Sean pointed toward Hermione.

"Hermione Granger."

Several Slytherins immediately looked curious.

"Malfoy," Sean continued, "which team are you assigned to?"

Malfoy immediately pointed toward Charlie.

"Charlie's squad, Boss."

Charlie instantly looked awkward.

"But our team's already full…"

Before he could finish, a first-year Slytherin suddenly raised his hand with a grin.

"I can transfer to another group."

Sean immediately nodded approvingly.

"Very gentlemanly."

Then he added calmly:

"It seems you've learned quite a bit recently."

The little snake instantly looked proud.

"Good. Hermione joins Charlie's team."

Then Sean clapped once lightly.

"Alright. Let's begin."

The moment his voice fell, the world around them twisted violently.

Hermione's expression immediately changed in shock.

Thankfully, Malfoy quickly explained beside her.

"Relax, Granger. This is Sean's magic."

His expression carried obvious admiration.

"A ridiculously powerful spell."

Hermione stared blankly at the transformed wasteland around them.

"Sean can already cast magic on this scale…"

Her brain almost stopped functioning.

Before Hermione could continue overthinking, Charlie had already gathered his team together.

"Granger," Charlie warned seriously, "be careful once we enter."

His tone became unusually solemn.

"It hurts a lot in there."

Then he raised his wand.

Malfoy and the others immediately formed defensive positions behind him.

Malfoy even remembered to wave Hermione over.

"Hermione, stand here."

His expression looked extremely nervous.

"And be careful. Those enemies can suddenly change positions."

Hermione blinked in confusion.

At this point, she still had absolutely no idea what everyone was talking about.

"Enemies?" she asked blankly. "What enemies?"

Charlie suddenly shouted:

"Open Level One!"

The next second—

Six black-robed wizards appeared instantly ahead of them.

Hermione froze.

"Protego!"

"Expelliarmus!"

The other team members immediately entered battle formation smoothly.

Only Hermione still looked completely lost.

Then suddenly—

"Hermione, move!"

Charlie roared.

Without hesitation, he rushed forward and dragged Hermione backward violently.

Boom!

Charlie's body flew through the air instantly.

He crashed more than ten metres away before slamming heavily against the ground.

Hermione's face instantly turned pale.

One of Charlie's arms had completely exploded apart from the curse impact.

Blood covered the grass.

"Charlie!"

Hermione's eyes immediately reddened.

"We need to get you to the Hospital Wing!"

Charlie painfully forced himself upright, face pale from agony.

"Don't worry about me!" he shouted through gritted teeth. "Keep fighting! Watch the enemy spells!"

But because of the sudden disruption, Charlie's entire team quickly collapsed.

Within moments, every student died and was ejected from the battlefield.

Back outside the barrier, Hermione remained pale and silent for a long time.

Charlie and the others exchanged worried looks.

"Hermione…" Malfoy carefully asked, "are you alright?"

After all, if Hermione mentally collapsed, Sean would probably skin them alive.

But unexpectedly—

Hermione suddenly stood up.

Her eyes were shining.

"I know what the problem is."

Charlie blinked blankly.

Then Hermione looked directly at him.

"Can I command once?"

Charlie stared at her in shock.

When he first experienced death inside the training room, he'd needed more than ten minutes just to recover mentally.

But Hermione—

This tiny Muggle-born first-year girl—

Had already adapted after a single death.

And now she wanted command authority?

Logically speaking, Charlie should never hand battlefield control to someone else.

But because Hermione was Sean's friend, he reluctantly agreed.

Fine.

Let the kid play around once.

She'd understand how difficult it was soon enough.

Unfortunately for Charlie—

He quickly discovered he was catastrophically wrong.

The moment the next battle began, Hermione instantly shouted:

"Malfoy! Use Serpensortia immediately!"

"Charlie, stop using defensive barriers! Use Avis instead!"

Even Sean, secretly observing nearby, became stunned.

Because Sean understood better than anyone how difficult it was to discover the bird spell's true purpose.

He himself had died at least five or six times before realising the flock could absorb the enemy's opening barrage.

Hermione—

Had understood it after dying once.

Sean quietly whistled under his breath.

"She really is terrifyingly smart…"

Then he casually leaned against a dead tree while continuing to spin a skeleton bone absentmindedly between his fingers.

Half an hour later, nearly every nearby team had stopped training completely.

Everyone gathered around Charlie's group to watch Hermione command.

"So the bird flock blocks their opening killing spells!"

"And it disrupts their vision too!"

"My God…" another student muttered. "No wonder Sean used the same strategy earlier."

Hermione completely ignored the growing audience.

Her mind remained fully focused on the battlefield.

"Kent! Fire spell now!"

"Charlie, use Devil's Snare! Lock their feet in place!"

Charlie reacted instantly without hesitation.

Vines exploded upward from the ground and wrapped tightly around several enemy ankles.

At the exact same moment—

Kent's fire spell arrived perfectly on schedule.

The black-robed wizards immediately attempted to dodge—

Only to discover their feet had already been trapped.
