Jay's Pov
After sometime the doctor came and I think Keifer became aware of it, because he was opening his eyes,
The doctor started checking him,
Doctor: "I think it would better if he takes an injection."
I nodded my head and helped him remove Keifer's shirt, Keifer tried to move but he was too weak,
The doctor was going to give him the shot and I held his other hand tightly and closed my eyes in order to avoid seeing it, and then the doctor was done.
Doctor: "I think he will be alright, but if it gets worse in the morning we have to do the tests."
Jay: "Thanks doctor" and he left and I came back to his room and it seemed like he has slept.
I pulled the blanket over him and don't know caressed his hair and muttered, "Good night"
Went and setlled on the couch, I felt sad seeing him alone in a situation like this, no one to take care of him, I mean I can feel him, probably that's why both of us are desperate for the love we get, even if its just a little.
And just like that I drifted to sleep, and in the middle of the night, I woke up because I heard some sound, I opened my eyes to see Keifer was having a nightmare and it seemed like he was panicking in his sleep.
I quickly ran from the couch to the bed and I heard him clearly,
Keifer: "No, No , Mom wake up please. Mom Please." He was trembling in fear while speaking and his whole body was shaking,
Jay: "Keifer, Keifer wake up , I am here." I said trying to wake him up by shaking him but he wasn't responding to me,
Keifer: "Dad, Please stop, Mom, Noo." He started trembling and sweating in fear and it felt like he was crying for help,
I used my strength to make him sit while he was still dealing with it, I kept tapping on his face,
Jay: "Keifer, Keifer wake up it's alright, it's okay I am here open my eyes look at." I said tapping his face and he finally opened his eyes and his eyes was filled with tears and he was breathing heavily or struggling to breathe, like he still hasn't come to his sense,
But his hands held me tightly like he was seeking something safe.
Jay: "Keifer, Breathe it's okay, I am here, Nothing is going to happen." I said in lower voice, It seemed like he is finally taking control of his breathing, I cupped his face and wiped the sweat and tears while muttering sweet nothings.
Jay: "It's okay, I am here. breathe."
He suddenly hugged me tightly and I was stunned a little by his action and then composed myself and hugged back tightly to make him feel more safe, I did not like to see him in this state, tears started from my eyes, I wiped them and started patting his back to make him feel calm and slowly his breathing was back to pace, it felt like he returning back to normal but he was still hugging and from that hug I knew how much he needed that.
After some time, it felt like he calmed down and he slowly pulled away and I looked at him,
Jay: "Are you okay?"
He nodded but it felt like the fear was still present,
I gave him water to calm him down more
Jay: "Okay, sleep."
He held my hand and I looked at him,
Keifer: "Please,don't leave me please." He asked in an almost begging voice it actually broke my heart a little to see him like this broken and helpless.
Jay: "No, I am not going anywhere, I am right here you sleep." I said and made him lie down and he was still holding my hand and I pressed my hand to reassure him everything is going to be alright.
He held my hand closer to his heart and I caressed his hair as he slowly drifted to sleep,
And I lie down beside and also drifted to sleep.
In the morning I woke up he was still sleeping holding my hand, I let out breathe,
I tried to remove my hand from his hold, but it was really tight but after sometime I successful removed, because I don't want him to wake up and feel awkward because of that.
I got up and checked his temperature, it was better than yesterday but he still had fever, So I went to freshen up and decided to work from here,
So I called my assistant and asked her to bring my laptop and some clothes, after that I changed in those and decided to make something for breakfast and then wake him up
After that I went to wake him up,
Jay: "Keifer" I said tapping him slightly,
He woke up and was little confused and sat up,
Jay: "Here, you go" I said and placed the food on the table before him,
He settled himself before talking, it felt like he was recollecting everything, It felt like he was feeling guilt for making me stay over,
Keifer: "I am sorry for causing trouble to you, I am fine now, you don't have to do this anymore. And also thank you for everything " he said sincerely like he felt like a burden and I kind of felt bad for him.
I looked at him like are you serious,
Jay: "Keifer, I know I may not say this out loud but you are my friend, and I am going to be there for you when you need." I said meaning every word,
He smiled at me,
Keifer: "Thank you." His eyes was filled with tears,
I just nodded my head and smiled,
Then we started eating and I took the dishes, kept them and came back again with my laptop this time,
I gave him his tablets and settled on the couch with my laptop,
Keifer: "You are not going to the office?"
Jay: "No, I am working from here."
Keifer: "Why?"
Jay: "What if you need something."
Keifer: "Jay, I am fine."
And I gave him a look and that's all took him to shut up.
Keifer: "Jay, Can you get me my laptop"
Jay: "Why?"
Keifer: "What? Why? i did not do any work yesterday and I have lot to do."
Jay: "No, you are taking rest"
Keifer:"But"
I gave him a look again and that's all he stopped and started taking rest.
