Chapter 33 - The Princess Trapped in the World of Dreams

Chapter 1: The Eternal Night

Once upon a time, in a grand castle that touched the clouds, lived a beautiful Princess named Aurora. She had hair as golden as the sun and eyes as blue as the sky. But Aurora had been asleep for one hundred years.

Not because of a curse of thorns, but because she was trapped.

When she closed her eyes, she did not see darkness. She opened her eyes and found herself in another world—a world made entirely of thoughts, memories, and dreams.

The Silver Forest

Aurora stood up. She was wearing a long, flowing dress that seemed to glow. Around her was a forest where the trees had leaves made of glass, and the ground was soft like cotton wool.

"Am I dead?" she whispered.

"No," a voice answered. "You are dreaming. But you have forgotten how to wake up."

Aurora turned around. Sitting on a branch was a creature that looked like a cat, but it had wings like a bird, and its eyes changed colors like a rainbow.

"I am Miru, the guardian of the threshold," said the creature. "This is the Dream Realm. Everything here is beautiful, but it is also dangerous. If you stay too long, you will become part of the dream, and you will never return to your real body."

Aurora was afraid, but she was also brave. "I want to go home. Tell me how to leave."

The Castle of Mirrors

Miru said: "To wake up, you must find the Key of Truth. It is kept in the center of this world, inside the Castle of Mirrors. But beware, Princess. The Dream Realm feeds on your desires. It will try to make you stay."

Aurora began her journey.

The world around her was strange and wonderful. Rivers flowed upwards into the sky, mountains floated in the air, and flowers sang lullabies. It was so beautiful that sometimes Aurora forgot she wanted to leave. She thought, "If I stay here, I will never be sad, never be hungry, never be hurt. Why go back to a world of pain?"

But then she remembered her father the King, and her mother the Queen, waiting for her in the real world. Her heart ached for them, and that pain was the thread that tied her to reality.

The First Trial: The Illusion of Happiness

As she walked, the scenery changed. Suddenly, she was not in a forest anymore. She was back in her own castle! The sun was shining, the tables were full of food, and everyone was smiling.

"Welcome back, Princess!" the servants bowed. "You have been away for too long. Everything is perfect now. You shall be happy forever."

Aurora was overjoyed. She ran to her room. It was exactly as she remembered. She sat on her bed, ready to rest.

But then she noticed something wrong. The shadows did not move. The clock on the wall had no hands. And when she looked out the window, the sky was always the same shade of pink.

"This is not real," Aurora said firmly. "Perfection is a lie. Real life has sunshine and rain."

She stamped her foot on the floor. CRACK!

The beautiful castle shattered like broken glass, revealing the grey, empty void behind it. She had passed the first test.

"Very good," said Miru, flying beside her. "But the road ahead is darker. Next, you must cross the Sea of Forgotten Memories. Are you ready to continue?"
