Chapter 1 - The First Lesson

" Would you like to kiss?".Nuan asked it casually—like she was asking about the weather.

Yuxuan froze.

The words didn't register immediately. They echoed instead, bouncing around his head until they finally settled… and when they did, his entire face burned.

"W-What?" he stammered.

Nuan frowned slightly, tilting her head."A kiss. It's not a complicated word."

His ears turned red. Then his neck. Then everything. You—how can you just say something like that? he snapped, clearly flustered.Have you no shame? You're a girl!

Nuan blinked.

Then slowly crossed her arms, studying him like he was some kind of strange specimen.

That's exactly what I don't understand, she said.I'm not embarrassed… so why are you acting like this?.

Yuxuan immediately looked away.

His fingers curled awkwardly at his sides. "That's not the point."

"No,"she said flatly,That is the point

She stepped closer. Not too close—but enough that he became aware of it.Wait, she added, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Don't tell me…"

Yuxuan stiffened.

"…am I your first love?"

He reacted instantly " No!"

Too fast.

Too loud.

Too obvious.

" I mean—no, it's not like that,"he corrected quickly, rubbing the back of his neck.I'm twenty-seven. How could this be my first relationship?.

Nuan didn't reply immediately. She just looked at him.Up. Down. Then straight into his eyes again." You're lying."

" I'm not!"

" You are."

" I'm not!"

She raised a hand.He shut up.Then she smiled—slowly, knowingly.Ten days,she said.

Yuxuan blinked. "What?"

We've been dating for ten days,she continued calmly.You haven't hugged me. You haven't kissed me.You barely even touch me.She leaned in slightly.So either… you're extremely disciplined…

A pause.

"Or completely inexperienced."

Yuxuan opened his mouth.Closed it again.

Nothing came out.Nuan's smile widened.

" Should I guess which one?"

" That's not fair,"he muttered.

" Then explain."

" I just…"he hesitated, clearly uncomfortable.I think those things should happen naturally.Nuan raised an eyebrow. "And this isn't natural?"

" I mean—this is too fast."

" Too fast?" she repeated.

Then laughed. Not mockingly—but genuinely amused. It's been ten days, she said. Not ten minutes.Yuxuan ran a hand through his hair, visibly struggling.Real life isn't like dramas.

"Ah," Nuan said, nodding slowly. So you do watch them.

He immediately regretted speaking.I didn't say that.

"You just did."

"I didn't—"

"Relax,"she cut in.I'm not judging you.

A pause.

"…yet."

He sighed." You're impossible."

"And you're avoiding the question."

"What question?"

"Why you haven't kissed me."

Silence.Yuxuan looked at her.Then away.

Then back again. Is it necessary? he asked finally.Nuan stared at him.For a full three seconds. Then she covered her face with one hand.

I can't believe this,she muttered.A twenty-seven-year-old man… asking if kissing is necessary in a relationship."

Yuxuan frowned slightly." You're exaggerating."

" No, I'm not,"she said, lowering her hand. It's normal. Completely normal. She stepped back, resting her hands on the kitchen counter.Kissing. Hugging. Touching. That's part of being in a relationship.

Yuxuan swallowed." And if I'm not ready?"

Nuan looked at him carefully this time.Really looked. Then her tone softened—just slightly.

Then say that, she replied.Don't act like it's some kind of optional rule.

He didn't respond because the truth was—

He didn't know if he wasn't ready or just didn't know how.Nuan watched his silence.

And understood.

" You really don't know, do you?"she said quietly.He stiffened." I didn't say that."

"You didn't need to."

A small smile returned to her lips. Not teasing this time.Something gentler.

"Alright,"she said." New plan."

Yuxuan frowned." What plan?"

"I'll teach you."

He blinked." Teach me what?"

Nuan tilted her head slightly.Everything you clearly missed. His face turned red again.

" That's not funny."

" I'm not joking."

She pushed herself off the counter and walked toward him again.

Slow.

Measured.

Confident.

Yuxuan didn't move.Didn't step back.

But he didn't step forward either. He just… stood there.Watching her and waiting.

" First lesson,"Nuan said quietly.

She stopped right in front of him.Close enough now that he could feel her presence fully.Close enough that stepping back would be obvious. So he didn't.

"…Don't overthink it," she added.

Her voice had dropped it's softer now and more serious. It's not a performance. You don't need to be perfect.Yuxuan's throat went dry. " Then what do I do?"

Nuan smiled faintly.

"For now?"

She leaned in slightly not touching.Just enough to close the distance.

"…Nothing."

His breath hitched." Just stay still."

And for the first time since the conversation started—Yuxuan didn't argue even didn't panic.Didn't overreact.

He just stood there.

Heart racing.

Mind quiet.

Waiting.
