Won and Eun's Apartment.
(Won is in the kitchen making coffee for eun, while eun is asleep in bed; just then, she wakes up, but she has a splitting headache. eun: (Looking at herself in the mirror) How did all this happen? As far as I recall, I wasn't wearing this dress at yesterday's party. (Slapping her forehead and sitting up on the bed) Argh! Why can't I remember anything? (A flashback of memories ensues) After meeting the "Grumpy Kangaroo," I went to have a drink; afterwards, Won told me to stop, but I drank anyway. And what happened after that? ...I can't remember anything else, and I have this terrible headache. Did I drink too much? (Getting up quickly) Yes, I know what I'll do. I'll ask Won; he must know what I did while I was drunk. And oh God, please! I hope I didn't do anything wrong that could cost me my job. (Running toward Won)
eun: Won! Won! Won: What happened? eun: What are you doing in the kitchen? Won: (Looking at eun) Haven't you freshened up yet? And don't you want to change your dress? But first of all, here—(Handing her a mug of coffee)—take this. I made you some strong coffee; you must have a headache. eun: (Taking the coffee) Thanks! I really needed this; my head is throbbing. (Taking a sip of coffee) Hmm... And whose dress is this? I certainly wasn't wearing this one. Won: (Sitting down on the sofa) You don't remember what you did with Mr. Kang yesterday? ...eun: (Panicked) Did I do something wrong with him that forced me to change my dress? Did something happen between us? ...Won: (Laughing) Wait, wait—don't panic! It's nothing like that. ...happened. I don't know the whole story, but Lee and I saw you hugging Mr. Kang, and you were telling him to get up. (Laughing) That moment was really sweet. I have no idea what happened between the two of you before that. eun: (Voice trembling, holding a cup in her hand) Did I really do all that? (Cursing herself) Why did I drink so much? How am I going to look him in the eye now? Should I just not come to the office today? n: Hey, don't even think about that. You absolutely have to come. Otherwise, Mr. Kang will work us to the bone again—and probably get back at you for all the things you said to him, too. eun: (Thinking) No, no... that can't happen. (Realizing that avoiding it isn't an option, and feeling resigned) There's no way out now. I have to go. I'm going to go freshen up. (Heading inside) won: Hurry up and get ready... or else we'll be late again. eun: Yeah...
Inside the Office. Daytime.
(eun and won arrive at the office. eun enters slowly, peering around to see if Mark Kang has arrived yet.) eun: That grumpy Kang hasn't shown up yet. won: You're going to have to face him sooner or later. (Both step onto the escalator; at that exact moment, Kang and Park enter the office from behind them. They walk forward, chatting amongst themselves, when eun suddenly spots Kang.) eun: (Hiding her face the moment she sees Kang) Oh no! I need to get out of here. You follow behind me. (She starts running up the escalator.) won: Wait! What happened? (In a hushed voice) What's gotten into her? Why did she run off like that? (won starts heading back down the escalator; just then, Kang and Park catch up to her from behind.) won: (Turning around) (Turning to look at them; to herself) Oh! So *that's* why eun ran off. Kang: Move! Why are you standing right in the middle like that? Park: Hey, what are you thinking about? won: (To Park, in a stern voice) What's it to you? Just move. (To Kang) Sorry, Mr. Kang. (Stepping aside) Please, go ahead. (Kang and Park start to leave.) (But Kang thinks to himself...) Kang: Why isn't she with won? Is she not coming? Will she remember everything that happened yesterday? (Meanwhile, Park turns back and walks away while teasing won.) won: (Gesturing for Park to leave, in a hushed voice) Idiot! Can't he just keep quiet? (She, too, starts heading into the office.) (Kang and Park arrive at the office. All the employees wish them "Good Morning," but Kang's eyes are searching for eun. eun isn't there. Kang and Park then head into their cabin. Kang sits in his chair, gazing toward eun's desk. Just then, Park speaks to him...) Park: Kang! Kang: (Startled) What?! Why are you shouting so loudly? Park: I've been calling out to you for ages! Anyway, never mind that. We have a meeting with the investors today. (Handing him some files) So, take a look at these files. Kang: Alright, I'll go through them. And who is giving the presentation today? Park: I don't know. The Chairman mentioned it to one of the employees. Kang: Dad? Okay. You go check what I sent you. Park: Alright. (Park goes and sits on the sofa, starting to check his email, while Kang reviews the files.)
won: (Entering the office, she begins looking around for eun.) won: Where did she go? Or did she go back home? (She turns to ask Yuna) won: Yuna, have you seen eun? Yuna: Yes, she went to get some coffee. By the way, why did you two leave so early yesterday? won: (Wondering what to tell her) Oh, just like that. Alright, I'll go check on eun. Yuna: Okay. won: (Walking towards eun) eun, are you here? eun: won im here ? By the way, did Mr. Kang go into his cabin?
won: Yes, he's gone. By the way, how much coffee are you going to drink now? Does your head still hurt? Eun: Yes, I'm trying to remember. This coffee is sure to jog my memory. (She makes herself a cup of coffee at the machine and starts walking back toward her desk, sipping it while deep in thought.) won: Go ahead. See if you can remember. (won starts following behind her.) (Just as Eun is about to sit down at her desk with her coffee, Mr. Jag—a fellow employee—approaches from the opposite direction, and Eun bumps right into him.)
