SCENE 2: Nighttime – Kang's Villa (Balcony)
(Kang is standing by the railing, clutching a glass of whiskey. He looks intensely frustrated, staring out at the city lights.)Kang:(To himself, voice low and heavy) Why is he here? How did a man who couldn't stand the sight of this company suddenly drop all his pride and decide to work with us? Everyone is left stunned.)Chairman:(IN CLAM To Lee) Mr. Lee, please forgive my son. Kang is... a bit high-strung when it comes to work. He just needs a little time to adjust to this new partnership." "ANYWAY Mr. Lee, do you already know Eun?"(Eun frantically signals Lee to say 'no' with her eyes, but Lee just smiles mischievously.)Lee: "NO PROBLEM AND Yes, Sir. Kang storms into his cabin and immediately hits the remote. The heavy blinds on the glass walls slide shut, completely cutting the office off from seeing inside. He is pacing like a caged animal, his face flushed with fury. Suddenly, he swipes everything off his desk—files, laptop, and décor crash to the floor.)(Outside the cabin: The office falls into a deathly silence. Every employee is staring at the closed blinds, flinching at the loud sounds of things breaking inside.)Eun: (Startled and trembling) "What was that sound? Is that 'Grumpy Kangaroo' really throwing things in there? Why did he close the blinds?"Won: (In a low whisper) "Yeah, it sounds like he's destroying the place. Eun, ignore it! If we even look toward that door, he'll dump all that anger on us."Eun: "But what happened to him? He was fine, and then he just exploded. Is he really that upset about Lee joining the company?"Won: "Most likely. But for now, just keep your head down. Can't you feel the tension out here? I'm angry, and I can't help it!"Park: "But what exactly are you so angry about? Is it the merger, or is it something else?"Kang: "That Lee... I can't stand him! And now he's a partner in our company? I can't believe Dad gave him the new project to handle. Now he and Eun... I mean... I just don't trust him. He's going to mess things up. I know it!"Park: (Freezes, eyes narrowing) "Wait a minute, Kang. You just mentioned Eun. What does Eun have to do with your anger toward the partnership?"Kang: (Averting his eyes, looking flustered) "I... I didn't say her name! You're hearing things."Park: "You're lying, Kang.
