Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – The First Cultivation

Rudra did not remember how long he lay on the floor of the

underground hall.

When he finally opened his eyes, everything was silent. The

glowing symbols on the walls had faded, and the hall looked like nothing more

than an abandoned ruin again.

For a moment, Rudra wondered if everything had been a dream.

Then he felt it.

Something inside his chest.

Not pain. Not exactly.

It felt like a slow spinning point of cold energy, deep

inside his body.

He placed his hand on his chest and sat up slowly.

"What… was that?" he whispered.

The moment he said that, words suddenly appeared in his mind

— not as a voice, not as sound, but as knowledge.

The Inheritance

Images and information flooded his mind slowly, like someone

pouring water into an empty cup.

He saw human bodies made of light with lines running through

them — like rivers flowing inside the body.

He saw people sitting cross-legged, breathing slowly,

gathering light into their bodies.

He saw symbols, diagrams, and strange patterns.

And then he understood a new word.

Cultivation.

Rudra held his head as the information settled in his mind.

"Energy exists everywhere," he said slowly, repeating the

knowledge appearing in his mind.

"In the sky, in the earth, in water, in fire, in living

beings… This energy is called Prana… or Qi… or Life Energy."

Different names. Same energy.

"Cultivators absorb this energy into their bodies, refine

it, and become stronger."

Rudra looked at his hands.

"So this is how those people in the wall carvings became

powerful…"

More information appeared in his mind.

Cultivation Realms:

Body Tempering Realm

Energy Gathering Realm

Core Formation Realm

Spirit Awakening Realm

Void Realm

King Realm

Emperor Realm

Saint Realm

Immortal Realm

Rudra did not understand all of it, but he understood one

thing.

"If I want to survive… I must become stronger."

The First Attempt

Rudra sat on the cold stone floor and crossed his legs,

copying the posture he had seen in the images in his mind.

He closed his eyes.

"Feel the energy around you," he whispered to himself.

At first, he felt nothing.

Only silence.

Only darkness.

Only the sound of his own breathing.

Minutes passed.

Then slowly…

He felt something.

Very faint.

Like tiny threads of cold air touching his skin.

He focused harder.

The threads became clearer — tiny streams of energy floating

in the air around him, moving slowly like dust in sunlight.

"I can feel it…" he whispered.

He tried to pull the energy toward his body.

At first, nothing happened.

Then suddenly, one tiny thread of energy entered his body

through his hand.

Rudra's body shook slightly.

The energy moved slowly through his arm like cold water

flowing through a narrow pipe.

It was uncomfortable, but not painful.

The energy slowly moved toward his chest — toward that cold

spinning point he had felt earlier.

The moment the energy touched that point, the spinning

became slightly faster.

Rudra opened his eyes in shock.

"It worked…"

He had just taken his first step into cultivation.

Hours Passed

Rudra continued sitting and trying again and again.

Each time, he managed to pull a little more energy into his

body. The process was slow and difficult, but he did not stop.

He did not know how much time had passed, but when he

finally stood up, his legs were numb and his stomach was empty.

But something had changed.

His body felt lighter.

His mind felt clearer.

His hearing felt sharper.

He could even hear wind moving through cracks in the ruins

far above.

"This is cultivation…" he said quietly.

The Stone Tablet

As Rudra prepared to leave the underground hall, he noticed

something he had not seen before.

Behind the pedestal was a stone tablet covered in symbols

and writing.

When he touched the tablet, the symbols glowed faintly, and

the words suddenly became understandable in his mind.

At the top of the tablet were written:

"Void Heart Cultivation Art"

Rudra read slowly.

"The Void is not emptiness.

The Void is the space where everything is born and

everything returns.

To cultivate the Void is to understand existence and

nothingness.

This cultivation path is difficult, dangerous, and lonely.

But those who walk this path can control space, erase

energy, and step between worlds."

Rudra continued reading.

"Normal cultivators absorb energy and store it in their

dantian.

Void cultivators compress energy into a Void Core — a point

of endless darkness.

The smaller the core, the stronger the power."

Rudra placed his hand on his chest again.

"That spinning point… is that my Void Core?"

The tablet glowed again, and more words appeared.

"Mahakaal Clan Inheritance Technique.

Only those with Mahakaal blood can cultivate this art.

Others who attempt will die."

Rudra slowly stepped back.

"So the voice earlier… was telling the truth.

I really am connected to this Mahakaal Clan."

He did not fully understand what that meant yet.

But he knew his life in Shivgarh Village would never be

normal again.

Outside the Ruins

When Rudra finally came out of the underground hall, the sun

was already setting behind the mountains.

He had spent the entire day in the ruins.

He quickly began walking back toward the village.

As he walked through the forest, he noticed something

strange.

He could see more clearly in the dark.

He could hear insects moving in the grass.

He could feel the wind direction on his skin.

His senses had improved.

"This is only the beginning," he said to himself.

But he did not know that far away, someone else had also

felt something that day.

Somewhere Far Away

In a large city filled with tall towers and cultivators,

inside a massive palace, a man wearing black and gold robes stood on a balcony.

A soldier knelt behind him.

"My Lord," the soldier said, "we detected a Void energy

fluctuation in the northern mountains."

The man smiled slowly.

"After all these years… the Mahakaal heir has finally

started cultivation."

He turned toward the dark sky.

"Prepare the hunters," he said.

"We are going to find a child."
