Keifer stayed. He sat in the hard plastic chair, waiting for his queen to wake up.
Because without his queen, the king was powerless.

Days passed. Jay was still unconscious.
Everyone came, but left. Keifer didn't. He stayed. He didn't sleep. Her wached her chest rise and fall.
Making sure she was still breathing.
Ci-n came, his playful voice gone. He stoped telling jokes. He stoped arguing.
Because the only person who motivated him to do that was currently un a hospital bed.
David came. Quiter than usual. He sat by the foot of the bed. Whispering confessions in his mind.
Drew came. Whispering sorry. For owing her money. For going behind her back. But he knew she had forgiven him.
Felix came. Told her about his reacent games. How he helped their team win. How he got injured but kept playing.
Eman came. Brought food. Kept it on her bedside table. "For when you wake up" he whispered each time.
Mayo amd Kit came. They brought yogorino. It melted. They threw it away. Kept the cup. Said "she will use there when she wakes up".
Josh came. Stayed by thw window. Offering silent support.
Blaster came. Playing quite tumes on his guitar. Explaining to her the meaning behind them.
Danzel came, with stories of Grazel Jay.
Calix came. Told Jay about his relationship with Mica.
Eren came. Told her about his girlfriendsss.
Edrix and Rory came. Told her they were trying to find Kaizer and Adrian.
But one person stayed through all of it. Keifer. He never left. He sat beside her. Held her hand. Told her stories of their life before. Of what they planned in their laife for after. The days till wedding planning started.

One day. Keifer couldn't take it anymore. He broke. He broke in front of the whole section.
He was on the floor beside Jay's bed. Tears streaming down his face, no intention of stopping.
Ci-n walked up from behind him. Placing a hand on his shoulder.
Keifer looked up at him.
"She won't wake up. It's been days"
"Don't worry Keif. This us Jay. She doesn't back down from a fight so easily. She will wake up. And when she does. She will bring all the chaos back with her"
*The Week After*
The doctor had cleared Jay to be taken home. She was still unconscious, but the doctor thought thag the home environment would give her a little nudge.
They all decided together that it was best for Jay to go to Keifer's house.

A month had passed. Half the year at uni was over. The teachers hadn't seen Jay or Keifer's face for over a semester.
No one asked. No one questioned it.
Beceause they knew. The news was all over the internet.
"Fiancée of the richest man in the world. Fiancée of the owner of Watson Enterprise. Was in a coma"
Keifer didn't try to ask them to take it down. He didn't pay lump somes of money to delete the file.
He didn't do anything.
Because he was by Jay 24/7.
Everyone came every week. University had taken too much of their time.
Keigan and Keiren sat by Jay's bed the second they came home from school.
They did their homework in that room. They ate dinner in that room. They even slept on the floor in her room.
Keifer got calls from their teachers saying that Keigan amd Keiren were sleeping im lesson.
He told them. He told them what happened. And how they refused to leave her. How they were willing to sleep on the floor.
Keifer did his university work from home. He ran Watson Enterprise from home. Aries and Angelo were helping.
Aries sent him the uni work and Angelo went to Watson Enterprise every other day.
From the outside Keifer looked like himself. But from the inside? He was breaking.
He sat in the bathroom everynight and cried. He stopped sleeping completely. He didn't think that much about uni work or the work from Watson Enterprise. Only Jay.
Aries and Angelo bisited every other day. One day Ella came along. The men were downstairs. Talking about business and Jay of course.
Ella knocked on the door. It cracked open slightly. She walking in. Holding a bouquet of flowers. She changed the pld floweres in the vase beside Jay.
She sat in the chair.
"Please wake up Jay" she chocked out.
"I need you. Keifer needs you. We all need you."
"You're the only one who can tell Aries to stom snoring a d he will listen. Because when i tell him. He says that he can't stop."
"I know if you were awake right now. You would storm downstairs and drag Aries by the ear till he says he will stop"
"Please Jay."
And with that. She left. She couldn't dtay there and not break.
They all left after a while. Keifer came back upstairs.
He sat in the chair. Beside the bed. He held Jay's hand.
And like every night. He whispered into the darkness.
"The King is nothing without his Queen. Keifer is nothing without Jay. I am nothing without you."
