Author's pov
The florescent lights of the hospital made Keifer sick. This wasn't where they were supposed to be.
Jay wasn't supposed to be in a hospital bed, pale, cold, looking lifeless. She was supposed to be in the island, with him.
Playing and splashing around in the water, teasing Keifer about his cooking. Planning the wedding.
Keifer sat beside her bed. On a hard plastic chair. He hadn't moved since they brought her in. He said that he needs to be there when she wakes. He needs to be the first person she sees.
He blamed himself for everything. He blamed himself because it was his father, because he was not there.
The doctor came in. A clipboard in his hands with Jay's test results.
Keifer stood up and turned towards they doctor.
"What happened? Are the results not what we expected? Is she ok?"
"Mr. Watson. Please. Calm down. Mrs. Watson is fine, but there is bad news. she is unconscious because of internal bleeding. We need to perform a surgery now, before it gets worse. We kindly ask you to step out into the waiting room.

2:46 am. Hospital Waiting Room.
Keifer sat in the hard plastic chair. His face was in his hands. His body felt like it had been run over multiple times.
His back hurt, his head hurt. Everything was in pain. But he kept telling himself.
Jay is in a worse condition. Minutes passed. Keifer stayed.
The In Use sign of the surgery room still glowing bright red.
After waiting for what felt like hours. The in use sign pf the surgery room tirned off.
A doctor stepped out. His scrubs were wrinkled, his eyes were heavy, and his hair was messy.
"Family of Jasper Jean Mariano?"
Keifer stood up. "I am her fiancé"
"How is she?" Aries asked walking up beside Keifer.
"She is currently out of danger. But her body was tired and terrified, that it shut down. It needed to protect itself." The doctor replied
"So what are you trying to say?" Keifer asked.
"What i am trying to say is…that…she is…in a…"
"A WHAT? HURRY UP I DONT HAVE ALL DAY!!" Keifer shouted
"Calm down Keifer" Aries said placing a firm but gentle hand on Keifer's shoulder.
"She is in…a coma" The doctor blurted out.
Keifer's world tilted. His energetic, playful, teasing fiancée was in a hospital bet not responding to anything that anyone said.
"C-can we s-see h-er?" Ci-n asked. His bubbly voice locked away.
"For five minutes. Then only one person is allowed to stay tbe night" the doctor nodded.
Keifer didn't wait. He rushed in. Sitting in the chair beside her bed, taking her limp hand in his.
Her body was warmer than before, but still cold.
