Jay's pov
The next day early in the morning, Kiefer was discharged from the hospital.
Section E brought him home then left after a while.
Kiegan was in his room and Kieren was at a friend's house.
I asked kuya if i could stay the weekend with Kiefer to make sure he's fine.
It took alot of convincing from Aries, but kiya agreed.
Kiefer was in the living area. I went to the kitchen to make him some soup.
I was stirring the pot when I heard him call from the living area.
I turned off the gas and ran to him immediately.
"What? Are you ok? Does your head hurt. Are you dizzy?" I asked all at once.
"Jay. No. No. And no. " he said
"Then why did you call me?" I asked
"I need something" he replied
"What? Food? Water? A pillow?" I said
"I need you" he said calmly. As if he hadn't just scared me to death.
"Kiefer. I am making your soup" i said
"Make it later. I am not hungry" he responded
"I know but you need to eat something to have your medicine" i replied.
"Please" he said. With the pleading look i could never say no to.
"Fine. Give me five minutes. The soup is almost ready." I said
He nodded and went back to reading his book.
I walked back to the kitchen and finished his soup. I plated it in a bowl and in a saucer i had his tablets. I pht these on a tray and filled up a glass of water for him.
I carried his food out to him and set it on the table then sat beside him.
"Eat" i said
"No" he replied
"Kiefer please" I pleaded
"No. Feed me" he said
I looked at him in utter disbelief.
"Kiefer" i said "You're not a baby"
"I am" he replied "I am your baby"
I gave a large sigh but eventually gave in.
I took the bowl in my hands and took a spoon.
I slowly fed his the soup and he finished it quite quickly.
I took his medicine and handed it to him along with the glass.
Before he could say anything i grabbed the tray and walked towards the kitchen.
As far as i knew him. He would have asked me to feed him the medication as well.
I washed the bowl, spoon, and saucer.
When i went baak outside to the living area. Kiefer was sitting there exactly how i had left him.
Tablets in one hand and glass if water in the other.
"Kiefer. Have your medicine"i said with a stern look on my face.
"Feed me. Please" he pleaded
"Kiefer, i fed you the soup. Atleast have your medicine by yourself" i said
"No. Feed me" I responded.
"Kiefer if you keep being stubborn i will go back to my house."
The second i said that, he didn't waste a second and ate his medication right then and there.
Good I figured out a new trick.
I grabbed his glass and took it back to the kitchen.
Then i came out and sat beside him, cuddling close.
He incstinctively wrapped his arms around me.
We sat there for hours, minutes, god knows.
We sat there until Kieren came back from his friends house.
"KUYA, HIPAG" he said running to give us both a hug.
"Hi Kieren" i said "How was your day?"
"Good" he replied
"How was yours" he asked
"Good" i replied
Kuya. can we have a game night?" Kieren asked
"Yes. But only if it doesn't go on till late," Kiefer replied
Kieren jumped with happiness, and went to call Kiegan.
i was scared as to if Kiegan will come. He still hasn't talked to my since the incident.
i was surprised when Kiegan came down willingly because i thought he would still be mad at me for distracting Kiefer from his work in London.
"So...what are we playing?" he asked
"UNO?" Kiefer suggested.
"Sure" i replied
Kiegan replied with a shrug, and Kieren replied with a loud yes.
"Where is it" i asked "I'll get it"
"In the game room, hipag" Kiegan replied.
i immediately looked at Kiefer with a surprised look. he just shrugged so i brushed it off.
I got up and walked to the game room. I found the UNO on a table by the window.
I looked out and it was dark. The street lights were on.
I felt the presence of someone behind me. I knew it wasn't Kiefer. I knrw his presence too well and this wasn't his.
I turned around to see Kiegan standing there staring at me.
"Kiegan? Are you ok? Do you need something?" I asked
"No. I just wanted to apologise for what i did. I thought about it and it wasn't right if me to do that just because i was angry." He said
Tears welled up in my eyes. "Kiegan" i said "You don't have to apologise. I know you were angry. All you wanted was for you and your brothers to be safe. You're a great brother you know" i said
"Really? " he said. His eyes shining with tears.
"Really" I replied.
He ran to me and gave me a tight hug.
"Welcome to the family hipag" he said.
I started to cry happy tears.
"Thank you Kiegan" i replied
After five minutes, we both wiped our eyes and walked out as if nothing had happened.
Kiefer and Kieren looked up from their conversation.
"Where were you guys" Kieren asked
"Getting the UNO"Kiegan replied.
I walked over and sat beside Kiefer. Kieren sat beside me and Kiegan beside Kiefer.
We started our game. Kiefer kept loosing. He isn't very good at UNO.
Every time he lost, he would sigh and say. "You do know i am going easy on you guys. Right?"
"We know" the three of us would respond together giggling.
We played for another thirty minutes.
It was post finner when we stopped.
No one was hungry so we all walked to our respective rooms.
Kieren asked me to tuck him in, so i did. Kiefer was in the room.
I quickly said goodnight to Kiegan before going to Kiefer.
He was on the bed watching the door.
"Where were you" he asked as i walked towards the bed.
"I was tucking Kieren in" i replied as i layed down.
"No i mean, why did it take you so long to get the UNO cards?" He said as he layed down bedside me. Wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Kiegan apologised" i said turning in his arms to face him.
"Really?" He asked
"Really" I replied
We talked for some more time then went to sleep.
Kiefers arms around me and me tight in his embrace.
It felt normal.
It felt nice.
It felt like home.
