Chapter 68 - The Storm

A/N- These are the tickets donated by you people; didn't forget about ya'll, don't worry.

(Platinum Ticket from Shibou_Kurai after donating for one week straight)

[Bone Baron]

|Elite Ability|

You are able to create and control bones at will, being able to make them erupt from surfaces in your line of sight and summon skeleton soldiers that can act semi-autonomously under your control. The soldiers are dispelled when the ability gets cancelled or switched out. The more soldiers you have, the higher your energy drain.

(Gold Ticket from Orden1399)

[Ram]

|Elite Ability|

The longer you go on a straight line, the faster and stronger you will become. But when using Ram, you can only move in straight lines, and maintaining control becomes harder the longer you move.

You win some, you lose some, just how it goes. Sorry if updates are slow; I'm just really tired from college rn and am focusing more on that. I'm not dropping this or handing it over to AI, however, so rejoice!

Thank you for being you!

The screams of the guards caused Endeavor's brow to furrow as the HPSC set up their barricade.

Despite it being nearly two in the morning, Endeavor was wide awake and sprang into action the second he was told a villain had broken into Tartarus, not out of it. As strange as it sounded, it was true.

Endeavor was hardly the only one bothered by the screams; several other heroes were tense and nervous as the internal security of the prison did their best to hold back the tide. As much as they would love to rush across the bridge and join in the fun, their orders were to keep everyone and everything from crossing this bridge.

"Explain to me again why I am to remain here, when I can be helping over there?" Mirko growled as she glared up at Endeavor. "I've told you already, woman," Endeavor snapped. "The HPSC has ordered us to stand down; someone else is coming to clean this up."

A few moments later, they found out why.

"What's he doing here? He's just a kid!" Mirko scoffed as Endeavor rose into the air, stopping beside the 'backup' sent by the Hero Public Safety Commission, Micah Hall, Hero name: Ignalis.

"I'm guessing you're the one they sent to deal with that?" Endeavor motioned at the flaming prison. Ignalis nodded without a word, simply gazing into the flames for a moment before looking at him.

"By order of the HPSC President and the Prime Minister of Japan, all heroes are to use lethal force against all villains that attempt to leave Tartarus. Any attempt to disobey this direct order will result in the loss of their Hero License and be considered a villain."

Endeavor stared at Ignalis in shock. Ignalis stared back for a moment before sighing.

"I don't like it either, but there is a chance that something below Tartarus may escape tonight. It will appear human, but it isn't; AFO may be using this crisis to let it out. We cannot let that happen. You know what to do."

Before Endeavor could say a word, Ignalis crouched and kicked off the air itself as he sped towards the prison. After gathering his thoughts, Endeavor slowly returned to the defensive barricade with a grave look as he revealed their orders.

----------------------

[Dang bruh! Didn't think you would actually listen to the crazy lady; guess I was wrong.]

I ignored the Gacha as I tore another villain in half, healing a pair of injured guards as I listened for the sounds of battle around me. As much as I'd rather be in bed with Sasha right now, cuddling, I didn't want to risk anything anymore, so here I was.

[I know you're supposed to be doing the whole 'hero' thing, but why keep on? You've already got plenty of power, being a Viltrumite and all, not to mention the various familiars you already have that are more than enough to take over this little country.]

Oh yeah, the Gacha had started speaking to me the second I woke to the HPSC alarm. I'd been too busy killing villains and saving guards for nearly ten minutes now as I made my way down the various levels, ignoring it for now.

As I descended to sublevel 5, I grimaced as I came across what was left of the guards. The floors and walls were coated in gore and blood, and with the storm of metal fragments sticking out of bodies and walls, I knew whose fault it was.

It seems I'd finally caught up with Wolfram. Why he was here when AFO had taken over Shigaraki's body, I had no clue, but it ended tonight. I tried to push that thought aside as I descended past the bloody halls and killed the few villains still alive.

[I wonder what happened to All For One's body? You destroyed it, right?]

I froze. That single line sat in front of me on the screen, mocking me with its glow as the interface remained for several seconds and then disappeared.

I can't think about this now, Wolfram first! I snapped out of it as I picked up speed. The next two levels were a blur as I flooded them with flames. I'd also summoned several Gaster Blasters to go ahead of me and kill everything they came across, as hundreds of Observers spread out with them.

Within moments, several dozen Observers died on the tenth sublevel as my enhanced senses picked up something: a heartbeat, two of them. Technically three, but only two of them worried me.

The first two were down on sublevel ten, most likely Wolfram and the now-revived AFO. I knew Wolfram's heartbeat from tracking him so long, and I don't think I'll ever forget AFO's heartbeat.

What concerned me was the third heartbeat, climbing towards me quickly before stopping right below me. I stood still, listening as something waited below; unease filled me as the thing below seemed to begin evolving as more heartbeats joined it.

Not risking powering up, I smashed through the floor as flames filled the floor behind me and below me. A terrible screaming, like that of something trying to be human, echoed below me until I stomped on its head.

The screaming turned into snarls as I laid eyes upon this thing. It was nearly the size of All Might's muscle form, but wrong. Its limbs were too lanky at some points, and grotesquely large in others.

Its legs were something closer to those of a human, if said human was covered in tumors and growths that writhed and twitched. The creature's face was the worst part, however. It was constantly shifting its face, from man to woman to child, trying to mimic me as it tried acting like it was fearful.

Ridley, looks like you're going to get our early. I murmured to the familiar space as Ridley appeared behind me. "Took you long enough, punk!" He screeched before falling silent as he gazed upon the thing before us.

"What foul thing is that?!" Ridley snarled as he took a combat stance, and I copied him. "Something that needs to die now. Leave nothing behind at all." "Burn it to ash?" Ridley asked hopefully, and I nodded.

He giggled with delight as the creature slowly began circling us, no doubt looking to kill. Ridley stepped forward to fight it as more limbs snapped into place; some ended in sharp bone, others in teeth.

"Don't play with it. I mean it; it has to die here." I stressed to Ridley as he nodded, now taking things seriously, as I increased the flames on the floor above as I descended further into Tartarus.

As I got closer and closer to AFO and Wolfram, the Gacha chimed once more.

[Not bad, looks like you sent the only Familiar you had capable of killing that thing ahead. How lucky...]

[Oh well! That creature was just a one-off anyway; the ROBs wanted to see how you'd deal with it. You did well.]

'Are they really still watching me? I know they give tickets now and then, but watching me seems like a stretch.'

[Who said they were giving you tickets?]

'. . .'

[Anyway. I just wanted to let you know that you won't be dying tonight. Maybe? IDK, but something in your inventory changed recently; don't know if you noticed anything. If you wanna know, go check out chapter 42 ;)]

'The freak?! Hello?!'

[Don't worry about it~]

[Besides, don't you have to deal with tall, dark, and hideous over there?]

I frowned as several slabs of metal slammed against me, shattering uselessly as I glared at Wolfram.

"See, boss! I tried my best, but he's just too fuckin strong!" Wolfram whined as AFO chuckled. "It's quite alright. I do not doubt your power. Go now; I have something to deal with." Wolfram nodded as thick sludge poured from his mouth, and he was gone.

'It seems he enjoyed the gift.' Lil' Nurgle awed from inside the familiar space as I glanced at the gaping wound that still festered on AFO's torso.

"Am I talking to All For One, or All For One?" The shell of what used to be a man tilted his head in confusion before straightening. "Oh, I see. You believe that the quirk has outgrown me? That perhaps it has become sentient on its own?"

I nodded. It laughed.

"Wrong, as usual. I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet, even with all the hints you've been given. Even Nezu has no idea; how pathetic." The thing laughed some more as I suddenly closed the gap.

It sighed as I speared its torso in the typical Viltrumite way. "E-even now, you still are too blind to see it. Your death is close, closer than you could ever imagine." I tore the thing in half before letting Lil' Nurgle out to feed on what was left.

I forced myself to watch the bloated body of Lil' Nurgle grow in size as the Gacha spoke again.

[Even with two warnings, you still don't get it? You deserve it at this point, idiot.]

[I can't wait to see what face you make when you die.]
