Chapter 67 - Calm before

"Listen, I'm all for doing this, but that psycho has been chasing me across the entire damn planet! If I'm going to do this, you have to keep him off my back long enough for the plan to work."

Wolfram was not having fun.

For years all he'd wanted to do was get into big fights and make lots of money. Even though he was more than a little freaked out by his current employer, the money made up for it. Getting to fight All Might was just icing on the cake at this point.

Getting thrown in jail? Escaping was easy, especially when working with THE bogeyman. Getting chased by a homicidal brat who killed said bogeyman was not what he signed up for, however.

"I understand that the boy has been chasing you, but he will be dealt with soon. You have my word." Tomura rasped. Or was it All For One? Wolfram didn't know, or care, as long as he was paid.

"Alright then." He huffed, "I'll be there tonight, right on time."

"Can you pass me that pan?" I looked to where Sasha was pointing and handed it to her as she whipped something together.

Since Wolfram decided to return to Japan, I was more than happy to spend some time with Sasha. Since the rat was hiding somewhere our sensors couldn't reach him, I'd let the others take a break as well, since there was no chance AFO wasn't planning something.

Since I was going to be spending more time with Sasha, she'd decided to treat me to a home-cooked meal. Sure, Lust and Pearl cooked decently well, but they didn't come close to what Sasha could make.

She was somehow able to blend Japanese and American foods into one. My favorite thing she made was this fried rice with Spam, the canned meat. When she'd first made it for me, I'd been worried I was about to die, but it was actually pretty good.

Since she already knew I liked it, she was currently making the rice while Bakugo and Momo made food for everyone else. Momo was always more than happy to help, but it seemed Kendo was needed to get Bakugo to behave and cook without trying to blow things up.

Jiro and I were the only ones sitting and watching the chaos in the kitchen as everyone else from Class A and B played various video games and board games. Mario Kart and Monopoly, to be exact.

"So how long are you staying this time?" Jiro asked, and I shrugged. "I don't know, to be honest. I've been chasing this particular villain across the world for months now, but for some reason he's come back to Japan."

"It's a trap, dumbass!" Bakugo snarled as Kendo smacked him over the head. I laughed but didn't throw that idea away as Sasha set my plate in front of me, and I dug in. As I ate, the others formed a line for their food as everything was put on pause for a moment.

Once she was done serving everyone, Sasha sat beside me, bringing me another plate after I'd demolished the first one as we ate together. Momo also joined us as I showed them pictures of the various places we'd flown over.

Sasha, for one, was excited and angry to see Night City. Though she did smile when I told her how I levelled several Corpo towers. Momo was much more interested in how the ship worked. I told her what I could, but I wasn't as tech-savvy as Mei was, though I'd picked up a bit from using Tinker-Fallout so much.

As the night started to wind down, I ended up cuddling with Sasha in my room as she caught me up on the class drama. I wasn't too surprised to hear that Mina and Kirishima were together, and the idea of Ojiro and Toru dating made me happy.

I shared her frustration with Izuku and Ochaco, however. There were times they acted more like a couple than we did- the people ACTUALLY dating! Regardless, it was nice to have a moment of normalcy after the wild goose chase I'd been on.

"Bakugo's right, you know. About it being a trap." She said quietly, and I sighed. "No, think about it. You've been chasing Wolfram across the planet, and suddenly he comes back to Japan? That doesn't make sense. AFO should be doing his best to keep you away, unless he's confident he can win."

"I can't just walk away, Sasha. The threat to everything, the threat to you, is too great for me to sit around and wait for AFO to do something. I have to be out there looking for him and stopping him before he can hurt any of you."

"Even Bakugo?" I laughed. "Yes, even Bakugo. He's not that bad now that Kendo is around to whack him." Now, granted, you were better off only being around Bakugo when Kendo was around, but I digress.

Besides, it was almost over. What that meant, I had no idea. But lying here with Sasha in my arms, I knew everything was going to work out just fine. It didn't matter what AFO threw at me, what schemes the HPSC tried to cook up; nothing could go wrong.

"So, about Momo's feelings. . ."

FUCK!
