In the aftermath of the Tartarus riots, Micah and his team had been yanked from one corner of Japan to the other.
Despite the full force of the HPSC holding the bridge, Wolfram was able to free dozens of highly dangerous villains. Overhaul among them, they banded together and wreaked havoc as the prospect of Martial Law drew closer each day.
To help combat the rising tide of villains, the HPSC called upon the hundreds of hero students still in training as they took to the field. Though some pro heroes complained, most were shut out as they focused on restoring order.
AFO wasn't finished with them, however, as the League of Villains and the Meta Liberation Army became the Paranormal Liberation Front. With the LoV heavy hitters and the MLA's sheer numbers, they quickly absorbed the local sects of the Creature Rejection Clan and the small group of Humarise operatives in the country.
Though the long-declining CRC was easily destroyed, the PLF waged an open war in the streets against Humarise. Despite this, hundreds of people and heroes were killed in the chaos as Micah personally ended the fighting in Japan, while countries around the world raided the remaining Humarise bases.
Once he was done with Humarise, AFO turned his attention squarely on Japan. He openly declared himself the Dark Lord of Japan and declared war against the state. The expected international chaos did come, but in a different way.
Turns out AFO had sent Wolfram all across the world to hand-deliver the formula to make mass-produced Nomu. This, combined with the Warriors of Germany, meant dozens of world leaders were killed as Eren and his friends were called back to help/.
The only silver lining so far was that the Alarielle had been given special permission to remain at U.A. She was currently working with Nezu to make the U.A barrier and security system even better as the entire population of Musutafu was slowly moved into the school grounds.
Class 1-A had varying reactions to this. The only one that mattered now, however, was that of one Izuku Midoriya.
Despite several long talks with his friends and teachers, and Micah personally telling him to stay at school, he'd left. For nearly a month, he'd roamed in the wake of every fight Micah had been in, helping those he could and quickly building more power as he did his best to catch up.
At first, he remained in contact with the rest of the class, as well as with All Might and his mother. Yet, as he saw the destruction caused across the country and the blatant villainy running amok in All For One's name, he slowly lost himself.
For days, he would track villains who lurked in the wake of Micah's brutal executions. Each one he found was another life saved as he took them down, emerging stronger from each fight while constantly evading PLF hit squads.
His body paid the price, however. Each fight slowly drained his body and mind as he pushed further beyond what he even thought possible. There were days that he barely stopped to catch his breath before chasing the next villain.
All Might and Inko had already expressed their worry, but he brushed them off. Even the vestiges of One For All had voiced their concerns. Izuku didn't listen; he barely even spoke. The vestiges had already held several meetings to try to find a solution to the 9th wielders' dilemma, but they ultimately did nothing.
All they could do was give him all the support they could, and so they did. Each one taught him the best way to use their former quirks as Izuku's power grew. Even the first and second wielders spoke of everything they knew about AFO.
Things finally came to a close when Izuku was surrounded by mind-controlled civilians. The PLF had finally cornered him, and he would have been captured were it not for 1-A and 1-B finding him in time.
That had been hours ago; however, as happy as Nezu was that Izuku was back at U.A and safe, he had bigger things to worry about. The United States was stepping in.
With their current president being a former hero, he survived and even killed his would-be assassins and had swiftly stopped out anyone trying to take advantage of the chaos. He'd cleared out dozens of politicians who were working with villains, and the U.S.A had officially begun sending help to others as well.
For Japan, that meant that Star and Stripe was personally coming to kill All For One. She'd briefly met with the HPSC President, the Japanese Prime Minister, Nezu, and Micah as they made their plan to kill AFO, and now she'd come to finish the job.
The only problem? Star and her escort had been intercepted over the ocean. With the support fleet too far behind and no hero being fast enough, Micah was sent to assist her. Normally that would be great, but Nezu had a bad feeling, almost as bad as the one he'd had when he'd first been captured.
So now he was faced with a choice.
Leave their best chance at killing All For One and ending this war to die over the ocean.
Sent out the strongest student he'd had in nearly twenty years towards what might be his death.
There were no numbers to run, there was no time to think. Nezu had nearly clawed his eyes out when first alerted, but it seemed Micah had already made his choice. Nezu watched on his screen as Micah gave personalized letters to each of his classmates, and several others.
When he finally reached his door, Nezu was waiting.
"Oh, hey, Nezu. Didn't think you'd be up." Micah said sheepishly as Nezu smiled. "Who do you think the HPSC called first?" Micah nodded as Nezu opened the door for him to step in. "At least have a cup of tea before you go."
Micah obliged as he entered. He sat silently as Nezu poured the tea, and he silently sipped the drink as Nezu thought of all the ways he could attempt to keep Micah here. None looked promising.
"I see you've given letters to your classmates?" He probed as Micah kept his face eerily blank, something else that bothered Nezu.
"Yeah, I had a few words for them, just in case." He said, setting his cup down. He then slid over Nezu's letter, letters, actually. "One is personal; the others are a set of passkeys to access all the blueprints I've written and drawn. I trust you to make good use of them."
"You speak like you're going off to die." Nezu frowned as Micah grimaced. "I don't think I'll die. I'd just rather be careful. The others are still training or speaking with Izuku, so I thought it'd be good to just leave now."
"Have you told Ms. Yakovleva?" Micah's silence was louder than anticipated.
"I see. Well, I won't hold you any longer; Star needs your help."
Micah nodded, standing and bowing low to Nezu before leaving. A few moments later, the sonic boom of his departure rattled the windows as Nezu gazed into the now-empty cup of tea.
