Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 {Horror Instance Dungeons}

As Ludovica walked to her own school, she couldn't help but think about the twins' excitement. Jennie's joyful.

"Me! Me! Me!" still echoed in her mind, and Justin's arrogant smile was adorable. She chuckled to herself, remembering the way they both looked, Jennie in her princess dress and Justin with his confident attitude. She was happy to see them so enthusiastic about having a master and traveling with them.

With a nod, she had agreed to it, knowing that she would have to tell Zoey later. But for now, she just wanted to focus on her own school day, and maybe even get some rest, as she was still feeling a bit annoyed from the previous day's events.

As she walked through the school gates, Ludovica was suddenly pulled to the side by Bella, a notorious school bully. Bella's eyes gleamed with malice as she pointed at Ludovica, her voice dripping with venom.

"You whore, let me tell you, humph, you won't get into Dixia Liyin Academy!" Ludovica's eyes widened in surprise, her mind racing with questions. What part of her had shown that she wanted to get into that school? She hadn't even mentioned it to anyone, let alone shown any interest. Bella's words seemed to come out of nowhere, and Ludovica was taken aback.

Ludovica's expression changed from surprise to amusement as she looked at Bella.

"Bella, you nuts? If so, get a doctor, wait, I have a degree, pay me right, I can help," Ludovica said with a smirk, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Bella's face turned red with anger, her eyes flashing with fury. "Youuuuuyu!" Bella stuttered, her words tumbling out in a jumbled mess.

Ludovica yawned, her expression bored, as she turned her head away from Bella.

"If you want to fight, let me know," Ludovica said with a playful smirk, her eyes glinting with amusement. Bella's face turned even redder, her anger boiling over, but Ludovica just stood there, her expression unchanging. Finally, Bella stormed off, her anger and frustration evident in every step.

Ludovica watched her go, a small smile still playing on her lips. She shook her head, chuckling to herself. Bella was always so easy to provoke, and Ludovica couldn't help but feel a little entertained by the exchange. With a shrug, Ludovica continued on her way to her classroom, her mind turning back to the twins and their upcoming adventure with their new master.

Ludovica's eyes fluttered closed as she fell asleep, her lips pressed together in a thin line. She was exhausted from the previous day's events, and the warmth of the classroom was making her drowsy. Meanwhile, her old Louis device buzzed, signaling an incoming message from one of her helpers, Kj.

Ludovica's eyes snapped open, and she reached for the device, her fingers moving quickly as she read the message. Kj was asking about an auction that had the herb she had been searching for, and Ludovica's interest was piqued. She typed back quickly, her fingers flying across the screen.

Lulu: Go ahead, sent you thirty million star dust.

The message was brief, but it spoke volumes about Ludovica's intentions.

Ludovica's eyes drooped, and she slumped back in her chair, her mind already tuning out Teacher Yan's words. Horror Instance Dungeons? What was the point of learning about them? She had no intention of ever setting foot in one of those death traps.

She was content with her simple life, and the thought of venturing into a Horror Instance Dungeon was just plain crazy. But, as she drifted off to sleep, she was suddenly jolted awake by Paige's insistent prodding. Paige was sitting next to her, her eyes wide with concern, and her voice was like a persistent buzzing in Ludovica's ear.

"Ludovica, listen! You have to pay attention! Horror Instance Dungeons are no joke, and if you're not prepared, you'll be a lamb in a den of wolves! I won't let that happen to you, so you're going to listen to Teacher Yan and learn about them, even if it kills you!" Paige's words were laced with a hint of desperation, and Ludovica knew that her friend was only trying to help. But, really, what was the point? She wasn't going to go into a Horror Instance Dungeon, so why bother learning about them?

But, Paige was determined to get Ludovica's attention, and she pulled out the big guns.

"If you listen, I'll buy you food for a month! You can have all your favorite snacks, and I'll even throw in some of those spicy tacos you love so much!" Paige's words were like a siren's call, and

Ludovica's stomach growled in response. She loved food, and the thought of having all her favorite snacks for a month was almost too tempting to resist.

With a sigh, Ludovica sat up straight, her eyes fixed on Teacher Yan, who was still droning on about Horror Instance Dungeons. She didn't particularly care about the subject matter, but she was willing to listen if it meant getting food out of it.

And, who knows, maybe she'd even learn something useful. But, deep down, she knew that she was only doing this for Paige, and for the promise of food. Horror Instance Dungeons were still a joke to her, and she had no intention of ever taking them seriously.

Ludovica's eyes glazed over as Teacher Yan droned on about Horror Instance Dungeons. They were ancient, over 999,999 years old, and had been shrouded in mystery for centuries. These dungeons were said to contain demonic ghost monsters with their own minds and thoughts, and those who dared to enter were trapped in their world. The goal was to complete tasks and levels, but the true prize was strengthening one's psychic powers and awakening the Mental Subconscious.

The more Ludovica listened, the more she realized that Horror Instance Dungeons were a double-edged sword. On one hand, they offered unimaginable rewards and benefits, including rare and powerful prizes. But on the other hand, the risks were astronomical. If one died in the dungeon, they would die in real life as well. The stakes were high, and only the bravest and most skilled psychic users dared to take on the challenge.

As Ludovica's mind wandered, she thought about the rumors of people who had entered the dungeons and never returned. Some said they were driven mad by the horrors they witnessed, while others claimed to have seen glimpses of the unknown. The allure of the dungeons was strong, but Ludovica was not convinced. She had no desire to test her mental state against the monsters that lurked within.

Despite her reservations, Ludovica knew that she couldn't avoid the topic forever. Horror Instance Dungeons were a part of the psychic world, and if she wanted to survive, she needed to understand the risks and rewards. She sighed inwardly, resigning herself to listening to the rest of Teacher Yan's lecture, hoping that she might learn something useful despite her initial skepticism.
