The demon with a serious case of aquaphobia
Those were all the things that Rati Blaze/beta tester 6585 was. This was the reason they were randomly chosen to become one of the nine demons. Their entry for their demon form was basically just like Kuzas Iavko's, where they just put down a creature. The basic part, however, ends there, as while Kuzas did not write anything other than dragon down for their own, Rati wrote in something that was very blunt and simple, but it was not how they wrote it, but what they wrote, that kept them out of the loser's bracket. Rati was a megalodon that could swim in land, sky, and even space if they wanted to, as easily as if it were water itself. Just dive into the ground or up into the sky, and they would just start swimming as if it were the most natural thing in the world to do. This made exploration so much easier for them, as they were able to learn so much about the massive continent size island they were on. That is right, they were staying only within their starting region and never leaving it.
The reason ties back to Rati's aquaphobia and why they were even in the running for becoming a demon in the first place:
They can not swim... at all... even as Megalodon.
In fact, they can not even breathe underwater either.
An ancient mega shark that can swim and breathe everywhere but the one place you think would be their natural stomping ground. It was actually the only place that they designated as an offline limit to themselves at all times. The addition of this one add on was why their entry was written immediately into the loser's bracket, along with Kuzas and everyone else that gave too basic and short demon form entries for themselves.
Rati became one of the demons that was amongst those that stayed fully tied to their region and was never known to explore beyond it. Kuzas, the dragon demon, never explored the other regions because they were content with just ruling over the fourth region/wing with their iron fist and unchallenged rule. The other eight demons let them be, as they were serving them better, as they were the focus while they were learning about how to play the long game rather than the short one. Rati was another, but they did not leave the second region of Avelon, at least, because it was an island in the middle of an ocean. What kind of ocean was currently unknown to them, as they were going out onto the water to discover it. Even if they could just swim through the ground or the sky until they reached another region. The fact was they were pretty much too scared to do so, as they did not want to fall into the water or deeper into the underground itself, exhausting themselves from swimming. All the other demons were looking towards their scapegoat and lab rat for testing, the idiot dragon, as they all called them behind their backs. If they wanted to know something too dangerous for them to consider doing themselves, they would just wait for the dragon demon to do it themselves.
While their exploration in Avelon was limited, that did not limit their exploring of the facility, though. Beta Tester 6585 would still avoid water like the plague outside her expected amounts of it. What they retained as themselves as a Beta Tester was ever basic max stats, but they still could swim everywhere that was not water. This made traveling between the various wings of the facility rather simple, as they swam underground, always surfacing in isolated or deserted areas to avoid being spotted. The sky was off limit, as that all they needed was for someone with really good eyesight to spot them in the sky somehow. As if planets could be visible to the naked eye from the ground, then they could be as well, even more so if someone was using a method to properly see things within the sky itself.
Thus, even as a demon, Rati Blaze/beta tester 6585 was the explorer of the demons. The one that went around on their own, exploring various things here and there about their own region, which they kept to themselves, given they never left it while in Avelon. However, that changed in the facility, though, as they were actually a well known facility based explorer; their goal was to travel to all ten wings of the facility at some point. The goal of the demon was not something they were pursuing at the moment, as it was not a thing they wanted to even attempt trying at the moment. The reason behind it was that they were still getting used to being a demon in the first place. Not trying to have their cover blown, after all, as only the idiot dragon was the one that revealed themselves in both layers of The Decagon to everyone.
What the megalodon demon was doing, that all the other demons were capable of doing, though. They were converting player to their side, not just from their starting region alone within Avelon, but the facility as well. That's how they created a network of those that, once they became under their banner, were now explorers themselves, with those that could swim being the ones that were in high demand for them. As the ability to have someone explore the one place they themselves would never go was invaluable to them. So, another thing Rati ended up becoming, without being aware of it at first, was the head of a massive information network that spread throughout all of The Decagon. Being explorers, they naturally traveled and collected the knowledge of everywhere they had explored, after all. So, eventually someone started wanting that knowledge for themselves and was not willing to go through the Guild or just read through all the books to learn it themselves.
This kept Rati's cover, as claiming her followers as just members of an information network was how they hid the fact that the groundwork of traveling around was done through her demonic abilities that they retain even within the facility.
