There was not the slightest trace of human emotion, nor any concern for human life.
His rational mind was deeply shaken by this.
But what frightened him even more was that emotionally, he did not feel much about all of this.
He only wanted to continue finding humans to make deals with and desperately wanting to increase his strength.
He truly was no longer human.
Woo Manyeo glanced around roughly.
There were three human corpses on the ground, all with their necks twisted.
This colleague was even more troublesome than he had imagined.
He had clearly warned him earlier not to cause trouble, yet he had killed three ordinary humans.
Fortunately, it was almost dawn and there were not many customers in the tavern, only three people left.
Otherwise…
Woo Manyeo waved his hand and restoring the corpses in the tavern to their original positions. He then twisting their heads back into place and then covering their faces with napkins.
The little remaining human emotion within him drove him to do this.
But no more than that.
He would not do anything more for them and he would absolutely not confront this much stronger senior demon for the sake of these pitiful and innocent humans to seek justice for them.
Only after finishing two bottles did Diomedes speak. "I don't remember. Probably more than thirty bottles… we need to go back. I'm starting to lose control of myself."
"More than thirty bottles? You're drinking vodka, not wheat beer."
"Yes, more than thirty bottles. I can drink even more. But I couldn't help killing those people, so we should go back early." Diomedes complained as he drank. "If I hadn't brought you along and was worried you'd cause trouble, I would definitely stay in the human world longer. Put on a shell and I can stay for a few days. You, this newcomer, are really annoying."
Hearing Diomedes's complaining and accusatory words, Woo Manyeo could not help but raise an eyebrow.
Worried that he would cause trouble? Then what did this count as?
Could it be that, in the eyes of demons, killing three humans did not count as trouble?
Then what would count as causing trouble?
Why did Hell not even provide a code of conduct for newcomers!
It left him completely clueless about what he should or should not do!
Woo Manyeo watched as Diomedes's rationality visibly diminished.
The bottles of alcohol placed behind the bar kept flying into his hands one after another as he continuously poured them into his mouth.
Woo Manyeo still retained his reason, though a faint irritability stirred within him.
The senior demon who came out at the same time as him was even more out of control than he was.
They could not stay in the human world any longer.
If he really caused some kind of chaos, Woo Manyeo might be punished along with him.
"Senior, we should return as soon as possible, in case Lord Astarion becomes angry."
Hearing the name Astarion, the demon who had lost his senses finally regained a bit of clarity and threw away the bottle in his hand.
In the empty tavern, the two demons vanished instantly.
On the ground, only the crisp sound of empty bottles falling and the three lifeless corpses remained.
