Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Next Day

[Julius's Pov]

The morning sun greeted me very fiercely. Last night I went to run errands, but I forgot it was too late for the things I wanted. Most of the stores closed at eight, and that was exactly when I left Felicia's house.

'I need to handle them today.'

I really didn't want to skip, but I'm going to have to. One day wasn't all that bad, and I think coming up with an excuse will be easy for one time.

Stretching my body, I got started with some light calisthenics. My first order of business was getting a proper place to stay. Actually.

Grrrrr~

"Maybe getting breakfast should be first," I whispered. "Want to come in this time, Felicia?"

"Whatever do you mean~?"

"Don't think I didn't notice you checking in on me last night. You must've forgotten someone has special eyes."

"O-Oh. You aren't upset, right?"

"No. Why would I?"

"Because I peeped in on you…"

"Maybe if it was someone else, but it's you, so no, I'm not going to be mad." I trusted her, and I think I had a medium understanding of her character in this universe. "Want to skip with me today?"

Felicia got closer with joyful giggles. She found my floating amusing for some reason. Resting my face on my palm, as I sat in the air watching her long legs make their way towards me.

"Sure. I think one day might be excusable for my mom."

"Also." I whipped out my black card, smirking a little bit. "I got my card."

"Black card?!"

"Yep. I told you, I wasn't that bad off."

"You were literally homeless last night."

"D-Don't mind the details." I stepped down onto the ground, walking towards and grabbing her hand into mine. She didn't even resist or try to back away. I thought she would've teased me with something, but she just accepted me holding her hand.

"Lead the way!"

"Ai. Ai. Captain."

We walked out of the secret hideout onto the main streets. The morning rush had not yet started, sparing us great aggravation and time. Our first destination wasn't breakfast but a little pit stop.

"Apple? You even lost your phone?"

I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly, "No, it got disintegrated."

It wasn't exactly a lie. It's just that I couldn't tell her that it happened in a different universe.

"Pfft~! How'd you manage that?"

"Hi, welcome in!"

The clerk's greeting got a wave out of us. We walked over to the left, where the new iPhone was at; the iPhone 26 model. A sleek design with huge innovations for the previous generation.

"After we finish up, how about I show you?"

"Really?! You'll actually show me?"

"Of course, we're partners." I picked up the iPhone 26, giving it a feel in my hand, really liking how it felt. I got some AirPods and, regrettably, Apple sold the chargers separately.

We made our way to the counter, the clerk already having the very model I wanted out from under their desk.

"Thanks for being observant."

"Just doing my job."

"What's my total?"

"Luckily, for you, today we actually have a buy one, get one half off for the new release. So if you want to get your girlfriend something, today would be a good time!"

"Oh yeah?" I glanced at Felicia. "What color?"

"Do you have green?"

The clerk nodded.

"Green? Is it because of your cat?"

"G-Guah. How'd you know?"

"Outside of those beautiful eyes of yours, you don't strike me as a green lover." I chuckled at how cute she was.

"Aw~" She hugged my arm, rubbing against it as her cat did to my knuckles last night. A very heartwarming feeling that put an even stupider grin on my face.

"Your total is going to $2,500."

Beep~

"Want the receipt?"

"Yeah, might as well since it's already printed."

I took the receipt, and we walked out to our next place.

...

..

.

Felicia devoured her double-smoked bacon sandwich without a care for the little mess she made on her cute face. She looked so adorable being so free.

"I'm going to blush~!"

"Hahaha~"

"Hey, do you think we should get suits like theirs?" She randomly asked.

"Suits? You call what they wear suits?"

Peter and Gwen literally wore makeshift disguises. Peter hadn't gotten a proper suit made, nor did Gwen have anything better.

"I'm not much better…"

"If you want, we can go shopping for one, or we can get pieces made at different places so no one gets suspicious."

"That's actu-"

"GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY!"

"Seriously?"

"Seriously?"

The two of us said in sync. When we noticed, we laughed lightly, staring into each other's eyes. Lifting my palm, a light blue color covered it as I sent the bastard flying with a flick. My hand went towards the door, a loud crash echoing from the collision of man and wall.

Completely forgetting about him, I asked, "Got any designs you want already?"

She didn't answer my question. She just stared at me with her mouth open and her eyes sparkling.

"That was so hot!"

"What was?"

"How nonchalant you were about that! Jeez, I might need to change…"

"Bahahaha~, good thing we have to shop for clothes anyway."

Obviously, she was joking. Her sense of humor was really up my alley.

"Let's talk about that later. I want to know how you did that!"

Sipping my coffee, "Very simple. I created negative distance and, with very precise control, only used it on that robber."

"Negative distance? That doesn't really sound simple…"

"Trust me. It's not as hard as it looks. If you want to look at it differently, it's just a unique form of telekinesis."

"You say that, but I can't do that!"

"Maybe one day."

The two of us enjoyed our little coffee date a little longer, moving on from the specifics. Instead, we found ourselves talking about random topics we shared an interest in. Felicia was getting more and more attractive than she already was, the more time I spent with her.
