Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Planet Er (So Massive!)

"Honey, is little Xan... Reading?"

When An came back from his work and saw a baby seriously reading a history book every household had, he was utterly flabbergasted.

"Welcome back, my love! Mwach~!"

Mimi, after hugging her husband and gave him a big sloppy kiss, immediately went to sit with little Xan, using her own body as support for her little Xan.

"No, wait, is this really true? Am I hallucinating right now?" An, still confused, scratched his cheek.

It's not that he doubted his sight, it's just the visual effect of a chubby baby like little Xan seriously reading a thick histort book was too stimulating for the old him, especially since he was the baby's father!

"Isn't little Xan amazing?! After playing wildly in the garden, little Xan actively nudged me towards the bookshelf and resolutely pointed out this thick history book. He even understood my words! An, our son is destined to be a genius!"

An's mouth twitched slightly as Mimi laughed loudly. No matter how much he think about it, why did the story got even more absurd when it was explained?

Reading history books after playing wildly as a baby is such an unbelievable phrase no matter where you put it.

"Come here, An! Watch little Xan answered my question!"

Answering questions? My little Xan can answer questions?!

An hurriedly removed his suit and put away his suitcase, settling himself beside Xan, taking the baby's other side.

An asked perplexedly, "Xan is just a few months old, he can't even talk yet. How was he supposed to answer questions?"

Mimi, as if proud by her ingenuity, smiled smugly as she brought out a tablet full of words, such as 'Rasia Empire', 'Genova Theocracy', 'Year 20,214th of the Rasia Calender', 'The Great Extraordinary War', 'The Ultimate Upheaval', and such.

"I just asked questions, and little Xan pointed out the answer! Watch!"

Rubbing her baby's head, Mimi promptly said, "Little Xan, Mom wanted to ask a question. Can you answer it?"

An watched in amazement as little Xan, who was focused on reading, marked the word where he left off with his index finger and turned his head to Mimi.

Mimi glanced at An with a smug look before asking little Xan, "Little Xan, the world was composed of 301 Continents and 30 Great Seas. Can you tell me what's the origin of the 301 Continents?"

Little Xan lowered his head, as if pondering, before he scrolled down the tablet for the answer. The tablet was stuffed with thousands of words.

It's like a multiple-choice question, but the choices were very diverse and way more numerous.

Soon, Little Xan stopped scrolling and clicked on an answer.

Astagina Ancient Greatland.

An widened his eyes in shock. Damn! The kid actually could answer! What was more shocking was the fact that little Xan preemptively clicked on the answer and typed on the tablet's keyboard to add more details.

Astagina Ancient Greatland was divided by the Great Atoria Asteroid approximately ten million years ago. However, due to unusual stability the Greatland had, most of the broken pieces of the Greatland were not destroyed but were preserved till this day. We are currently in Hanis County, Telasia Prefecture, Aslan Province of Kingdom of Ellha, which was among the top ten of the Kingdoms scattered in Ressh Continent in terms of military prowess, cultural development and overall stability index. Ressh Continent is the 104th Continent in overall power and 214th in size.

"Holy sh*t!" An could no longer hold himself back. He slapped his thigh, his jaw dropping the lowest it'd ever been.

An: <(°〇°)>

"My son is a f*cking genius!!!"

BANG!

An was smacked on the back by Mimi, who glared at him angrily, "Do not curse in front of little Xan! What if he takes after your words? Wouldn't he be the baddest?"

Well, it doesn't sound bad at all though, Xander thought speechlessly as he continued to read the thick history book.

As his parents played about and flirted behind him, Xander took a deep breath and continued to read, his baby face as serious as a college student who was about to be whopped by his professor.

Planet Er, this is the name of the sphere that many call home.

This is also the planet where he was transmigrated onto.

Planet Er had such a long history that it was deafening. If Planet Earth was billions of years of age, then Planet Er had at least a trillion years of age.

Of course, Xander was somewhat uninterested in all those theories. He was more intrigued by how humanity came into being.

According to this thick book titled "Er's River of History" it was said that the first man to set foot on Planet Er was a man called Ya. He was followed by a woman called Sya. Thus, this pair propagated on Planet Er, multiplying humanity's population by thousands of times.

Many had theories regarding their appearance. Whether it was evolution, descent, or God's Will, it was approximately the same case as Planet Earth regarding Adam and Eve.

It was billions of years ago, and it was too far to trace back. Xander simply treated as an anecdote of humanity's origin.

History became much clearer when tracing back approximately 2.5 billion years ago, when humanity's first kingdom was established. It was the very start of civilization. It wasn't an exaggeration to call this kingdom the civilization's spark.

After all, it was basically what the planet was called all these years.

Er Kingdom.

Skimming through the somewhat bland historical texts, Xander simply read it casually before it reached the part where it interested him the most.

After a thousand years, Er Kingdom fell apart, and its citizens spread across the Astagina Ancient Greatland to establish settlements with rules in accordance with each of their beliefs.

And then, the era of Extraordinary Origin began.

It happened 2.4 billion years ago, a hundred million years after the Er Kingdom fell apart. Of course, many, many things happened in that one hundred million years, but Xander simply skimped it over.

Other than Er Kingdom, anything before the Extraordinary Origin era was unimportant and irrelevant. How could chronicles of the ordinary could possibly be relevant to an era where the Extraordinary flourish?

It was also at this time that Planet Er expanded to its current size. It hadn't always been this big. Before the Extraordinary Origin era, it was a million times smaller in volume than its current size.

Many extraordinary lands appeared on the Greatland, and a great unstoppable war occurred. From the initial hundreds of forces, with how massive the Astagina Ancient Greatland was, the number of forces exploded, reaching thousands, even tens of thousands of forces.

Back then, many pioneers popped out like bamboo shoots, creating numerous, ingenious practices to utilise the Extraordinary Factor within the air.

Extraordinary Factor was everywhere the moment the Extraordinary Origin era began. When absorbed into the human system, it would quickly enhance its overall functions, and if a certain threshold of absorption was surpassed, an evolution occurred.

Although Xander wasn't clear yet how it was practiced, he could clearly see how hard it must be back then. There was no systematic and detailed way to absorb Extraordinary Factor, which in turn severely limited its potential.

Careless absorption without instructions could at least create a mutation, forming unwanted organs in the body. In worse cases, one could even turn into a horror, terrifying being.

There was another name for this era.

The Calamity Origin.

It was the era of Extraordinary Origin, where the Extraordinary began to proliferate, but it was also the beginning of humanity's calamity that still persisted till this day.

In Planet Er, every human had different genes, and not even a theoretically possible clone creation could be the exact same as the original. DNA and genes always included an incredible amount of variables, and even if copy pasted into cells, they would differ in results.

Therefore, every person had a different compatibility with the Extraordinary Factor in the air, and this is where disaster begins.

Those who are lucky became Extraordinary, while those who are unlucky became Calamity.

The greater the power, the greater the threats. The philosophy that the greater the light the greater the darkness had always been prominent in this case.

At that time, over 99% of humanity, due to careless absorption, became calamitious beings, which in the modern term was called Calmos.

The unstoppable war ceased, but humanity's forces dwindled from tens of thousands to a pitiful dozen.

Fortunately, no matter how many calamitious beings there were, the 1% of humanity, composed of countless heroic figures, ingenious pioneers, and peerless warriors, ultimately resisted their onslaught.

Unfortunately, till this day, Calmos beings could never be eradicated. There are always unfortunate humans who, due to a series of unfortunate events, ultimately succumbed and became Calmos.

Xander remained silent as he read the rest of the book. On a planet with a million times of Earth's volume, there could be at least a million billion humans.

1% is at least ten trillion.

It must've been an unprecedented calamity.

Xander turned his eyes towards one name that etched itself into the very pinnacle of that era, proclaimed and recognized by all of humanity as the Strongest Extraordinary Being of All Time, the Sage of the Extraordinary Origin, and the Savior of Humanity that ultimately brought peace, allowing people without significant compatibility to survive.

This history book, even when it was this thick, could not possibly record every bit of history that spanned over at least a trillion years. Even a supercomputer capable of processing trillions of simulations in a second couldn't possibly contain such a great amount of history. Many events were simply summarized here. Even an event spanning a thousand years, if irrelevant to the current era, was simply summarized in one or two sentences.

And yet, when it comes to this person, a picture was etched, taking up an entire page solely dedicated for the Savior of Humanity.

A picture of a firm man with refined eyebrows, his lips forming a relaxed curve. His black hair was long, flowing freely, and his eyes were deep blue, as if they were holding the starry seas. His shoulders are firm and wide, as if capable of withstanding an entire world.

A Hero among heroes, a Man among men!

Yet, he only had a simple, humble name.

Ua.

His origin speaks for itself.

Other influential figures in that era had glamorous names with glorious surnames, yet the greatest savior only had a name with just two letters.

Xander silently bowed his baby head.

How lucky that era must be, for its strongest powerhouse to be a person of great heart, unprecedented talent and brilliant mind.
