Chapter 1 - Importance of other creatures.

This story is about a small village in Gujarat. The people in this village used to raise many kinds of animals. However, the behavior of some individuals toward animals was mixed—kind toward some, and cruel toward others.

For example, people treated animals like cows very well, but they behaved poorly toward animals like bulls and dogs. Bulls, in particular, had to face many hardships. They were made to plow the fields all day, and in the evening, they were given only dry food to eat. Because of this poor diet, the bulls were becoming weaker day by day. Despite this, the villagers did not seem to care.

Eventually, a time came when the bulls became so weak that they were no longer able to work. As a result, the villagers began to face difficulties in farming. Only then did they realize the importance of the bulls. They tried to call doctors from outside the village. Many doctors initially refused to come because the village was located deep beyond forests. However, one doctor agreed to come. Seeing this, all the villagers felt very happy.

After several days of effort, the doctor successfully treated the animals and advised the villagers to take proper care of the bulls' food and well-being. In this way, the people learned a lesson from their negligence and made a promise to take care of all animals.
