"Do you feel better now?" Tiger asked, placing a reassuring hand on Gideon's back as he sat slumped in a chair.
"Hmm." Gideon glanced up at Tiger and held out his hand. "Give me my phone."
"Here." Tiger pulled it out of his trouser pocket and handed it over.
"Thanks." Gideon switched it on, and a barrage of missed calls and urgent messages immediately flooded the screen. His eyes widened in shock as he read the text from Vivian. "We need to leave," he pronounced, forcing himself to his feet despite the weakness in his limbs.
"Your Highness, you should rest for a while. You must be completely exhausted—" Caelum started, but he was sharply cut short.
"I cannot. Something happened to Adeline," Gideon answered. "I'll contact you later. I have your number." He then turned his gaze to Tiger and gripped his arm firmly before disappearing from Caelum's sight in an instant.
