"Shh!"
‘It would be a big problem if we get caught…’
I pressed my index finger against my lips and leaned closer to Aiden, prompting him to hush.
‘I want to hear what they're talking about, but I can't hear well enough from here. Should I get closer?’
"You have to follow carefully."
‘What we're doing now is an extension of the last secret mission.’
I whispered secretly, furrowing my brows. Once again, Aiden nodded in agreement.
Since the natural surroundings of the summer house were preserved as much as they possibly could be, every step we took rustled the grass underfoot. Trying to move as quietly as possible, I kept my eyes fixed on Julianne and Michael.
Aiden, after extinguishing the lantern he held, followed behind me with light steps.
‘He really doesn’t make a sound when he moves. I should read that book too instead of burning it. Although, I’m not sure if I'll be able to understand it.’
