As Aiden had expected, Julianne adored the flowers that Michael had brought. More accurately, it seemed like she adored me, who was buried amid the blossoms.
The flowers Michael gifted were all arranged in a vase placed on the nightstand next to my bed.
Considering how often Julianne visited my room compared to her own, I didn't mind. Yet, a pang of sympathy for Michael couldn't help but creep in.
"Lia," I called out, peering out from under the blanket just as Julianne was about to leave the room.
‘Lia looks beautiful even in the moonlight.’
"What's the matter, Lili? Can't sleep?"
Julianne approached me again as she asked, and I nodded slightly in response.
‘Isn't ten o'clock a bit early for an adult to go to bed? I may be just eight years old at the moment, but still...’
Old habits always died hard.
