In a shadowy area behind a building, Parbel from the Swordsmanship Department was conspiring with his friends. The topic of their conversation was how to retaliate against Tev, who had recently knocked them unconscious.
"We'll take down that arrogant commoner, and then the girl from the Magic Department who brought him here too––"
"Gu… Guys! There's something weird posted on the bulletin board!"
Parbel's rant was abruptly interrupted. He scowled and looked up. The one interrupting was a friend who had said he would be late due to a lecture.
But something was off. That usually laid-back friend of his seemed panicky as if being chased by something.
"What's wrong?"
"This isn't the time for this!"
"What? What's suddenly so––"
"Quickly, just follow me now!"
Without offering a proper explanation, the friend hurriedly led them on.
"What is it about?"
Parbel, feeling uneasy, trailed behind his friend.
