Chapter 56 - HIS WISH, MY ANSWER

JAY'S POV

Right now, the entirety of Section E was sitting in the living room of the Reyes Mansion. And behaving like they had just discovered a new continent.

Some were exploring random corners of the house. Some were touching decorations they had no business touching. And some were simply looking around with wide eyes. Honestly, I was doing my best not to throw everyone out.

"Shut up and sit down, everyone. NOW!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

The room immediately went silent. Everyone quickly found a seat. Good. At least they still feared me. They had obviously noticed the irritation in my voice because nobody dared to argue.

Ci-N raised his hand.

"Jay, why did you call all of us here?"

Drew nodded.

"Yeah. Especially without Keifer."

David frowned.

"Is everything okay?"

I crossed my arms.

"If you all let me speak, I think I could tell you."

Yuri snorted.

"Fair enough. Go ahead."

I took a deep breath.

"I'm planning a surprise birthday party for Keifer. On his actual birthday, he was in London, so we never got the chance to celebrate properly. But now he's back. Even if it's a little late, I still want to do something special for him."

For a moment, there was silence.

Then—

"OH MY GOD."

Calix clutched his chest dramatically.

"Jay, you're totally whipped."

Felix wiped away an imaginary tear.

"Look at this. A wife planning a surprise birthday party for her husband."

Ci-N nodded proudly.

"Jay Jay, I never thought you'd be this thoughtful about your boyfriend."

Yuri immediately joined in.

"Guys, Jay Jay is so in love."

Drew pointed at me.

"I can't take it anymore."

The entire room burst into laughter. I closed my eyes. I was regretting every life choice that had led me to this moment.

Seriously. If Ate and CCTV were here, I would've asked them for help instead. Unfortunately, they had left yesterday for a business trip. Or as I liked to call it An unofficial honeymoon.

And I didn't want to disturb them. So I was stuck with Section E. Which was clearly a punishment from the universe.

"If you all are done," I said through gritted teeth, "can we start the preparations now?"

David nodded.

"Sure."

Blaster grinned.

"Let's do it."

I stood up and grabbed a notebook.

"Okay. Since we're not as rich as our class president, we're handling everything ourselves."

Yuri immediately raised his hand.

"We can hold the party at Hanamichi's hotel. I'll book the rooftop."

My eyes widened.

"Really?"

"Yep."

"That's actually perfect."

Eman leaned forward."I'll take care of the food. But I'll need helpers."

Denzel raised his hand. "I'm in."

Josh looked up from where he had been half-asleep. "Me too."

Felix grinned. "Me three."

Calix laughed. "Me four."

I quickly wrote everything down.

"Good. Food team is settled."

Then I looked around.

"What about decorations?"

Ci-N instantly stood up.

"ME!"

Mayo nodded.

"I'm in too."

Kit followed.

"Same here."

Drew crossed his arms.

"Trust me. You're going to need me."

Eren shrugged.

"I'll help."

I nodded.

"Perfect."

Blaster pointed at himself.

"Music is my department. I'll be the DJ."

Edrix immediately spoke up.

"I'll handle the lighting and technical setup."

Rory nodded. "I'm helping him."

David adjusted his glasses.

"I'll manage the finances during the event."

I pointed at myself.

"And I'll manage all of you."

The room immediately groaned. Yuri suddenly snapped his fingers.

"Wait."

"What?"

"When's the party?"

I smiled.

"March 29."

David nodded approvingly.

"Good choice. At least the date can still be the same."

Everyone agreed. I looked around one last time.

"One final thing."

Calix sighed dramatically.

"What now?"

I narrowed my eyes.

"Make sure Keifer doesn't suspect anything. If any of you become the reason my surprise party gets ruined..."

I pointed at every single one of them.

"You're all dead."

For a second, everyone looked at each other. Then mischievous smiles appeared across the room.

Uh-oh.

That never ended well for me. Suddenly, all of them spoke in unison.

"Yes, Mrs. Watson."

My jaw dropped.

"HEY!"

The room exploded into laughter.

"MRS. WATSON!"

"THE FUTURE MRS. WATSON!"

"THE WIFE IS THREATENING US!"

"SOMEBODY SAVE US!"

I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it. Unfortunately, I missed. Very badly. And somehow that only made them laugh harder. My suffering was truly their favorite hobby. The next few hours were spent discussing every detail of the party.

Food.

Decorations.

Music.

Guest lists.

Timings.

Everything.

Eventually, everyone left.

And for the first time all day...The house was quiet.

Exhausted, I collapsed onto my bed. I was alone in the mansion.

Well...Kuya and Ate had already told me to move into the Fernandez house while they were away. They wouldn't be back for another two weeks.

But first, I wanted to finish planning Keifer's birthday surprise. After that, I'd move. And honestly...I also needed time to mentally prepare myself. Because moving there meant dealing with Jeana and her fiancé. That alone sounded exhausting.

I rolled onto my back and stared at the ceiling. There was one thing I hadn't told anyone. Not even Section E. Not even Yuri. Not even Ci-N.

On the day of the party...I was going to propose to Keifer.

I know. Bold move. Maybe a little crazy. But I wanted to surprise him. And honestly? I could already imagine the look on his face.

The shock.

The confusion.

The happiness.

A smile slowly appeared on my face. Keifer had made it clear countless times. In private. In public. And sometimes in front of the entire class. He loved me. And he wanted to be my boyfriend.

So this time...I was going to fulfill his wish.

In front of everyone. My smile widened. But then another problem appeared. A much bigger problem.

"What am I supposed to give him?"

I groaned and buried my face in a pillow. The party was only two days away. And I still hadn't decided on a gift. I wanted something meaningful. Something special. Something he'd never forget.

Saturday was the perfect day for the surprise. Nobody would suspect a thing. Especially Keifer. Which meant everything was going according to plan.

I sat up.

"Okay, Jay Jay. Focus."

I pointed at myself.

"Keifer's gift."

Then I pointed dramatically at the ceiling.

"Think."

I spent the entire night thinking. And thinking. And thinking. Because whatever I gave him...I wanted it to come from my heart. And sometime the next morning...As the sunlight streamed through my window...

I finally knew exactly what I was going to give him.
