"The dreams started ever since that night" Kira muttered to herself while walking into the villa, her voice was low, almost inaudible.
She looked ahead at the villa and remembered her mother's face, she blamed herself for her mother's death ever since and kept to herself but the dreams were even stranger. She always felt there was a reason behind the dreams but nothing ever happened even after having the same dream for years.
Kira rubbed her forehead and walked into her room, took off her clothes then entered the shower, sitting in the tub with foams covering her body, the cold water helped her relieve much of her stress and free her from the thoughts.
Everything happened long ago after all, and when the guards got there only Yuki was found unconscious. Her mother was long dead with stab marks on her body. Kingsley Frostmoon was in rage and grief for days, trying his best to find the culprit all over the continent at first but suddenly gave up after a while and accepted his fate which was very strange.
A lot of people commented about how fast Kingsley adapted to the situation but Kira never thought of anything suspicious regarding het father, after all the blame was hers in the end.
After leaving the shower, she headed downstairs for her dinner then walked out into the balcony, looking at the stars and moon shining in the sky.
Stormguard city had not always existed in its current form, originally the northernmost part of the continent was a deserted plain bordering the sea acting as a buffer zone for the four great family of Aetherion popularly referred to as the four giants of Aetherion.

The university was jointly created by the four families to create a bond between all four families and avoid disputes, sending their heirs and prodigies across from all across Aetherion to Stormguard university, the university was open to everyone but due to strict entry requirements only a few could actually qualify along with the upper class heirs.
The city was built after the university's creation mainly by merchants and those seeking a new life, overtime a city was created around the university becoming one of the most influential cities on the continent.
It acted as a buffer zone for the four families, even though the four maintained a state of peace, they occasionally had conflicts and Stormguard was meant to bring the heirs together and make connections with each others, the education was necessary but the heirs pretty much lived a free life there, after all they were basically the owner of the university itself.
Kira, the sole heir of Kingsley Frostmoon unlike the other heirs of the other families was guaranteed to be the next family as long she grew to be of age, no one dared to oppose her, not even the other heirs. After all, unlike them who had to compete with other siblings for the family head position, Kira was basically the guaranteed next family head as long as she lived long enough.
The Ash, Raven, Frostmoon and the blackwood family had their sphere of influence respectively, each of them were like cogs in a machine reliant on the other.
Taking in a deep breath, she looked up at the stars and spoke without turning back.
"I'm going out for a walk."
"Let me accompany you Lady Kira" Silas said while Draven stood nearby without a word.
"There's no need I'm just taking a stroll around, I'll be back soon" Kira said while staring at the sky with her silver hair flowing back gracefully, looking like a goddess under the moonlight.
"It's night already Lady Kira, we can't let you go out on your own." Silas said, refusing to back down.
"Silas, stay here I'll be back soon, it's an order. From me" Kira said while still staring at the skies.
"I'll be back soon, you don't have to worry"
Draven looked over but didn't say anything while Silas sighed and walked away.
"Alright, don't stay out for long though, Lord Kingsley would probably turn over the continent if you were to go missing, I still have a life to live please."
Kira said nothing and just walked back to her room, picked up a few things changed into a black trenchcoat then walked out of the villa without a specific destination in mind.
"One day, I'll find what or where that man came from" she muttered while looking at the skies.
He appeared suddenly and shattered her life then vanished once again, all over the continent no one could find him and even her father was rendered helpless. She saw it in his eyes, he gave up when he stopped searching, it definitely wasn't that simple for him to give up.
