ELARA'S POV.
Shit! How stupid and naive am I? Ravenna has always made it known that she intends to kill me, she has said it every time we have a conversation. How could I forget?
Worse, I set her free first. There is nobody strong enough to stop her except Kael.
Now here I am, her fist against my neck tightening and my windpipe feeling crushed.
"Ravenna please. Not now," I cough, losing my grip on her wrist.
She spits and blinks her eyes "It has to be, I changed my mind before but now you know our gateway I must kill you."
"Ravenna!" Kael calls out angrily. "Let her go,"
It sounds strange in my ears but I can understand it. Kael doesn't speak typical English with her, it's something ancient, dialectical and smooth but I can understand the meaning of his statement.
"It's my job now to kill her before it leads to anything detrimental in the future," Ravenna fires back.
"I forbid you to do it. If you kill her, you'll make an enemy out of me, your Alpha,"
