ELARA'S POV.
Gosh, what have I done? Why is it feeling like I caused this? The red light makes it so hard to see even when I know what to do. Whatever might have set off the alarm and put everywhere on lockdown seems to be dangerous. Which means Kael needs to be free, he is the only one strong enough to take on the threat.
I rush towards him and begin to tug at his cuffs. It is tighter than usual, the steel is harder and they barely left a space for him to move his arms.
"Come on," I bang my fists against the cuffs, breathing hard and glancing at the door almost every second.
Each passing second felt like the threat was getting closer.
"Hey! Hey! Look at me," Kael calls out but I wouldn't stop. Time is running and I have to get him out of his chain, not caring what happens next.
"Elara!" He roars monstrously, causing a vibration in the cell. I stop and gulp heavily as I look up at him and sniffle. "Stop this," he says silently.
