It landed right on Faye Yardley's fingertip, fluttering its wings.
Faye smiled faintly, stopped in her tracks, and raised her right hand. The little pink-and-white butterfly seemed to be looking back at her.
"Little guy, why are you following me? You're not the one I want."
The little butterfly flapped its wings even harder.
"Quite the temper on this little guy. Fine, find me a flower I'd like, and I'll take you along."
The little butterfly flapped its wings twice, paused for a moment, and flew two circles in front of Faye before flying straight in a specific direction. Faye quickly followed.
Ignoring the countless blossoms around her, she walked over to a cluster of tiny pale purple flowers where the pink-and-white butterfly had rested. Seeing that flower cluster, Faye had to admit she was truly captivated. She reached out to pluck it, only for the pink-and-white butterfly to land on her fingertip again.
"Alright, you're mine now too."
